20.08.050 <br />utes driving time of fire apparatus <br />from the fire station serving those <br />particular districts or areas deter- <br />mined by the Fire Chief to be <br />either high hazard areas or extreme <br />hazard areas based on steepness of <br />slope and/or fuel loadings from <br />combustible plant materials as set <br />forth in the Safety Element of the <br />General Plan. <br />(Ord. 1869 § 2, 2002; Ord. 1778 § 2, <br />1999; Ord. 1669 § 2, 1995) <br />20.08.053 Section 1806.1 Amended - <br />Footings: <br />Section 1806.1 Footings of the Cali- <br />fornia Building Standards Code 2001 <br />Edition (24 CCR), and including by <br />reference the Uniform Building Code, <br />1997 Edition, is amended to read as <br />follows: <br />General. Footings and foundations <br />shall be constructed of masonry, <br />concrete or treated wood in confor- <br />mance with Division II and shall <br />extend below the frost line. Footings <br />of concrete and masonry shall be of <br />solid material. Foundations support- <br />ing wood shall extend at least 6 <br />inches (152 mm) above the adjacent <br />finish grade. Footings shall have a <br />minimum depth as indicated in Table <br />18-I-C unless another depth is rec- <br />ommended by a foundation investiga- <br />tion. Aminimum of one top and one <br />bottom continuous bars of 1/2" diam- <br />eter reinforcing steel shall be re- <br />quired in all continuous concrete or <br />masonry bearing foundations. <br />(Ord. 1869 § 2, 2002; Ord. 1778 § 2, <br />1999; Ord. 1669 § 2, 1995) <br />20.08.054 Division IV Chapter 22 - <br />Amended In Its Entirety - <br />Seismic Provisions For <br />Structural Steel Buildings: <br />Division IV Chapter 22 of the Cali- <br />fornia Building Standards Code 2001 <br />Edition (24 CCR), and including by <br />reference the Uniform Building Code, <br />is amended in its entirety to read as <br />follows: <br />Division IV -SEISMIC PROVI- <br />SIONS FOR STRUCTURAL <br />STEEL BUILDINGS <br />Seismic provisions for structural <br />steel buildings shall be based on <br />Seismic Provisions for Structural <br />Steel Buildings, of the American <br />Institute of Steel Construction. <br />Parts I and III, dated April 15, <br />1997 and Supplement No. 2, dated <br />November 10, 2000. <br />2210 -ADOPTION <br />Except for the modifications as set <br />forth in Sections 2211 and 2212 of <br />this division and the requirements of <br />the Building Code, the seismic de- <br />sign, fabrication, and erection of <br />structural steel shall be in accordance <br />with the Seismic Provisions for <br />Structural Steel Buildings, April 15, <br />1997 published by the American <br />Institute of Steel Construction, 1 East <br />Wacker Drive, Suite 3100, Chicago, <br />IL 60601, as if set out in length <br />herein. The adoption of Seismic <br />Provisions for Structural Steel Build- <br />ings in this Division, hereinafter <br />referred to as AISC-Seismic, shall <br />include Parts I (LRFD), and III <br />(Pleasanton April 2003) '704_8 <br />
