THE CITY OF <br />.. .~~ <br />pL~£ ~5~4NTONo <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />City Council Chambers <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566 <br />APPROVED <br />Wednesday, December 27, 2006 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The Planning Commission meeting of December 27, 2006 was called to order at 7:02 p.m. by <br />Acting Chairperson Fox. <br />1. ROLL CALL <br />Staff Members Present: Donna Decker, Principal Planner; Julie Hangman, Assistant City <br />Attorney; Phil Grubstick, City Engineer; and Mazia L. Hoeg, <br />Recording Secretary. <br />Commissioners Present: Commissioners Phil Blank, Anne Fox, Greg O'Connor, Arne <br />Olson, and Jennifer Peazce. <br />Commissioners Absent: None. <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Decker advised that the minutes of November 29, 2006 and December 13, 2006 would be <br />considered at the January 10, 2007, meeting. <br />3. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY <br />ON THE AGENDA. <br />Kevin Close, 871 Sycamore Road, commented that the Happy Valley azea has lost its chazacter <br />with staff's design approval of the Heartwood Communities. He stated that rock stone walls <br />have replaced the open fencing, including at the bridge at Happy Valley Road and Alisal Street. <br />He noted that not even the golf course was allowed to put in a solid wall at its entrance. <br />Mr. Close also indicated that he would like to see the Spotorno project come forwazd, which has <br />been held back because three big projects have been put together to determine their cumulative <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES December 27, 2006 Page 1 of 19 <br />
