Commissioner Roberts indicated that she did not believe that she had made the statement on <br />(~ the first paragraph of page 20 as follows: "Commissioner Roberts believed that activity was <br />maintenance and weed control." She requested that it be deleted. <br />Commissioner Pearce advised the sentence on the third pazagraph of page 21 should be <br />modified to read as follows: "Commissioner Maas did not understand why the <br />groundbreaking ceremony was on a Wednesday at x&9910.•30 a.m." <br />The minutes were approved as corrected. <br />Mr. Roush introduced Julie Harryman, Assistant City Attorney, to the Commission. He <br />noted that she is a Pleasanton resident and that she had served for five years in the City of <br />Alameda. She had previously worked for a private law firm with a focus on municipal work <br />and will be attending the next Planning Commission meetings in her official capacity. <br />3. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT <br />ALREADY ON THE AGENDA. <br />There were none. <br />4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />/-^ There were none. <br />5. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />There were none. <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />a. Public Facilities Element of the General Plan <br />Review and provide comment on a Draft Public Facilities Element of the General <br />Plan. <br />Ms. Stern summarized the staff report, and noted that the definition of community programs <br />had not been included in the packet due to staff s continuing consideration of that term. She <br />noted that it could be added as a footnote on the first page of the background text. She noted <br />that "community programs include programs run by the City, other agencies, and individuals <br />that educate, nurture, or otherwise provide a social benefit to members of the community." <br />She reviewed the proposed changes in the background text, which were summarized in the <br />staff report and shown in Attachment 1: <br />1. Adding reference to high-speed wireless Internet access (Wi-Fi) in the City. <br />2.
