7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS
Commercial Center Liehtine on Isabel and Vineyazd Avenues
Commissioner Roberts requested that staff suggest to Livermore to look into the lighting
on the commercial center on Isabel and Vineyazd Avenues, which she can see very
cleazly from her home. They are not hooded, and she believed they were poorly planned.
United Crrowth Buildines
In response to Chairperson Arkin's questions, Ms. Decker noted that there was some
language that was misleading; a temporary certificate of occupancy is not issued by the
City of Pleasanton. She noted that a vaziety of items needed to be accomplished to get
the Certificate of Occupancy for the shell; a second certificate would be issued as each
tenant completed its improvements within the shell. No business may open without the
final Certificate of Occupancy. The shell itself is still incomplete. She noted that staff
has been tracking this project closely.
In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Maas regazding removing the wall due to the
diners' preferences, Ms. Decker replied that would not happen without stopping the
Certificate of Occupancy process; any change to the approved plan would return the
project to the Planning Commission.
Temple Beth Emek -Traffic on Stanlev Boulevard and Vallev Avenue
Commissioner Fox noted that the Beth Emek synagogue had conditions of approval to
~ limit afternoon services because of the Level of Service on the road. She would like to
retroactively revoke such constraints if the Home Depot application was approved.
8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW/ACTION
a. Future Planning Calendar
Ms. Decker noted that the Public Facilities Element of the General Plan would not be on
the agenda for Januazy 25, 2006.
b. Actions of the City Council
There were none.
c. Actions of the Zoning Administrator
There were none.
9. COMMUNICATIONS
There were none.
/^
PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES January 11, 2006 Page 18 of 19
