Traffic Volumes- The ADT for this segment is 8,000 vehicles.
5. Accident Records- The collision rate for this roadway segment are not applicable at this
time due to the reconstruction of the roadway in the Fall of 2006.
6. Highway, Traffic and Road Conditions that are not Readily Apparent to the Driver-
Vineyard Avenue along this segment of roadway has the appearance of a rural roadway,
however, there are six intersections along the roadway that provides access from residential
neighborhoods.
7. Recommendations- The recommended speed limit for this segment is 45 mph. This limit is
in agreement within the 10 mph pace. Given the transitional nature of the roadway, moving from
a higher density residential located to the west to a rural roadway with limited access to the east,
the 45 mph limit will provides a uniform transition between the 40 mph posted limit to the west
and the 50 mph limit to the east.
I certify that the attached is a true and correct copy of the
original document on file at the Department of Public
Works in Pleasanton, California.
By
Date
Traffic Engineering Section
Vineyard 4 June 2007
