EXHIBIT A <br />City of Pleasanton and Amador Livermore Valley Historical Society <br />Agreement/Scope of Work <br />The City of Pleasanton (City) and the Amador Livermore Valley Historical Society <br />(ALVHS), operator of the Museum on Main Street, desire to combine efforts to enhance <br />and expand the interpretive programming and administrative operations of the City- <br />owned Alviso Adobe Community Park. The Park is expected to be completed and <br />operating by November, 2008. <br />The parties envision aclose/collaborative working partnership between the City, <br />ALVHS, and the respective staffs: <br />For the City: Civic Arts Manager <br />Environmental Education Supervisor <br />City Naturalist <br />Part-time instructors <br />Volunteers/docents <br />For ALVHS: Executive Director <br />Education Director <br />Volunteer/Docent Coordinator <br />Volunteers/docents <br />Archival staff <br />I. Program Planning and Design Services <br />In consultation with the City Naturalist and Environmental Education Supervisor, <br />ALVHS staff shall design an annual interpretive plan for the Alviso Adobe. The Plan <br />shall be completed by spring each year, for implementation by City staff during the <br />following academic year. The Plan should be complete, with annual themes, goals, <br />and objectives and experiential outcomes; and include a schedule and <br />recommendations for staffing, curricula, resources, and other considerations for <br />program implementation. The Plan should include the following programs: <br />A. A Themed Experience for the Causal, "Walk-U~' Visitor <br />Passive signage, displays, exhibits and hands-on activities should be <br />developed, for a defined period, to augment the permanent signage and <br />interpretive displays noted in the Alviso Adobe Community Park Master Plan. <br />A particular emphasis should be placed upon one of the historical eras <br />depicted at the Park, and sub themes developed, i.e. The Ohlone People and <br />Their Technology. <br />B. Young Explorers Adobe Program <br />
