THE CITY OF <br />-° ' °' °' -~- '"' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />j~L£~S~4NTONo <br />July 17, 2007 <br />Parks and Community Services <br />TITLE: AWARD OF CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $138,805 TO THE <br />AMADOR LIVERMORE VALLEY HISTORICAL SOCIETY FOR <br />PROGRAMMING AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ASSOCIATED <br />WITH ALVISO ADOBE COMMUNITY PARK <br />SUMMARY <br />City staff and the Board of Directors of the Amador Livermore Valley Historical Society <br />(ALVHS), operator of the Museum on Main Street, have negotiated an Agreement to <br />combine efforts in enhancing and expanding interpretive programming and <br />administrative operations of the soon-to-be constructed Alviso Adobe Community Park. <br />Under the Agreement, ALVHS staff, working collaboratively with the City, would provide <br />expertise and administrative assistance in the development of an annual interpretive <br />plan, school visitation program and teacher guides, docent coordination, etc. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />That the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute the attached one (1) year <br />Agreement with the Amador Livermore Valley Historical Society, effective July 1, 2007. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />Funding in the amount of $138,805 has been previously approved for the first year of <br />the proposed Agreement (July 1, 2007 -June 30, 2008). Should the Council desire to <br />fund a second year of operations, $138,805 has been identified in FY 2008/09 for that <br />purpose. Funding for years three and four would be addressed as part of the Council's <br />review of the FY 2009/10 - FY 2010/11 Biennial Budget. <br />
