Box 520 <br /> Pleasanton, CA 94566-0802 <br /> <br /> Subject: Phase I Preliminary Design for Downtown <br /> Pleasanton City Parking Lots A89X0054 <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Lee: <br /> <br /> Korve Engineering, Inc. is pleased to submit this revised proposal for preliminary design <br /> services for nine proposed parking lots in downtown Pleasanton located on either side <br /> of Main Street as shown on Table One. The services are to be broken down into two <br /> phases. Phase One includes the preliminary design for each of the parking lots and <br /> Phase Two is the preparation of construction documents and assistance during the <br /> bidding process. Phase Two could include the services of a lighting engineer and <br /> landscape designer. This proposal addresses the scope and budget for Phase One <br /> only. For Phase Two we have included an outline scope, but no budget. <br /> <br /> PHASE ONE - PRELIMINARY DESIGN SERVICES <br /> <br /> Task One- Base Map Development <br /> <br /> For each of the proposed parking lots we will prepare a base map of existing <br /> conditions using the 20 scale reproducible topos supplied by the city. The maps will <br /> include information on the existing layouts, existing utilities and right-of-way information. <br /> The right-of-way information will be obtained from assessor's maps and will be verffied <br /> by reviewing existing title reports. We understand that there are some discrepancies <br /> in the assessor's maps and the fact that they may not have been updated for many <br /> years. These base maps will be prepared at 1 "=20' scale - the scale of the topo base <br /> drawings. We will also conduct a survey of current usage of the seven existing parking <br /> lots. This occupant survey would be conducted in the early afternoon on a weekday. <br /> <br /> Korve Engineering, Inc. <br /> <br /> <br />
