EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> MAIN STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> PRELIMINARY DESIGN PHASE <br /> <br /> Contents <br /> <br /> Project Summary Page 1 <br /> Description of Services Page 1 <br /> Staffing and Budget Page 6 <br /> <br /> Project Summary <br /> <br />Assist City Staff and the downtown business community in their efforts to develop <br />a completed preliminary design for the physical improvement of Main Street. <br />Develop recommendations for the refinement of the previously approved design <br />concept based on input received from the City Council, City Staff and the <br />downtown community in a series of workshops. Focus discussion and design <br />investigations on the opportunities to add public improvements that complement <br />and enhance the existing character of the downtown district. <br /> <br />The Preliminary Design Phase incorporates a portion of what is typically <br />considered a "design development" level of detail. Drawings will include precise <br />locations for trees, lights and other street furniture. Paving details will be <br />provided for typical conditions. Manufactured products will be identified as to <br />make & model with catalogue cut sheets. Custom designed features (if there are <br />any) will be illustrated at the conceptual level with enlarged elevations, with at <br />least preliminary recommendations for materials and finishes. Traffic, irrigation, <br />maintenance, grading and other aspects of typical design development drawings <br />will not be provided at this stage. <br /> <br /> Description of Services <br /> <br />I.
