CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />REFUSE COLLECTION AGREEMENT <br />This AGREEMENT, is made and entered into on this, the day <br />of , 1989, by and between the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a <br />municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "CITY", and <br />PLEASANTON GARBAGE SERVICE, INC., a California Corporation doing <br />business in Alameda County, California, hereinafter referred to <br />as "COLLECTOR". <br />SECTION 1 - AUTHORITY TO FRANCHISE <br />The City and the Collector enter into this Agreement pursuant to <br />the authority of Section 9.20.020, General Provisions, of the <br />City of Pleasanton Municipal Code and the provisions of Chapter <br />9.20, Garbage, of said Code shall become a part of this <br />Agreement, even though not specifically stated. <br />SECTION 2 - DEFINITIONS <br />A. Commercial Unit - Means any occupied premises, including <br />motels and hotels, as specifically utilized for the purpose <br />of engaging in commercial activity, as defined in Chapter <br />18.44 of the City of Pleasanton Municipal Code. <br />B. Industrial Unit - Means any occupied gremises specifically <br />utilized for the purpose of engaging in industrial activity, <br />
