,--. RESOLUTION N0. 847 .-. A request for support of Alameda County Board of Supervisors' request to State Legislature to amend the State Master Plan for Scenic Highways to include Routes X580 and ~~680, has come before this Conmission, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton has reviewed the findings of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to request to the State Legislature to amend the Master Plan for Scenic Highways to include Interstatea ~k580 and #680. WHEREAS, said Commission has held a Public Hearing on this matter and has examined pertinent maps, drawings end documents and find that one or more of the following conditions do exist: 1. That the proposed amendment to the State Master Plan for Scenic Highways will not be contrary to the spirit and intent of the General Plan of the City of Pleasanton; 2. That the proposed amendment to the State Master Plan is in the public interest and general welfare; 3. That the proposed amendment to the State's Master Plan for Scenic Highways will create a more equitable condition for the cormaunity of Pleasanton than now prevails; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Co®ission of the City of Pleasanton hereby endorses the findings of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton on the 8th day of January, 1969, by the following vote: Ayes: Commissioner Arnold Commissioner Garrigan Commissioner Gibbs Commissioner Plato Chairman Antonini Noes: Absent: Attest: Secretary Castro 11. REFERRALS FROM CITY COUNCIL a. Letter from the City Council recommending limited terms of office for the Commissioners, with the Chairmanship being rotated on a yearly basis. The Commissioners concurred with this memorandum, and Mr. Arthur Plato was designated as the new Chairman of the Planning Commission, with Mr. Howard T. Garrigan designated as Vice Chairman. - 5 -
