r ~' <br />PASSED AND ADOPTRD BY THB Planning Co®isaion of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 22nd day of January, 1969, <br />by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Coamissioner Antonini <br />Commissioner Arnold <br />Commissioner Garrigan <br />Commissioner Gibbs <br />Chairman Plato <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Attest: Secretary Castro <br />a. Suggested street name for an eatension of the frontage road south of Route #580 <br />There were three namms offered by the Planning staff for the future extension <br />of the street that will serve the Reynold C. Johnson Volkswagen Distributing <br />Center. <br />was present <br />Hr. Powell J. Ward of San Ramos EngiaeeraAand spoke for the Reynold C. Johnson <br />people. He offered the name of Johnson Drive~as customarily is a lot of tracts, <br />the first tenant gets the name of the street named after him. <br />Commissioner Garrigan suggested the name Interstate Boulevard, but this was not <br />acceptable. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Gibbs, seconded by Chairman Plato, and carried, the <br />following resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />B&SOLUTION N0. 853 <br />WHBRBAS, a suggested street name for that future <br />street that will extend from Hopyard Road <br />and eventually connect with Stoneridge <br />Drive, and which now serves the Reynold C. <br />Johnson Volkswagen Center, hoe come before <br />the Planning Commission, <br />WHSBSAS, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton has considered that Reynold C. <br />Johnson Volkswagen Center is the first <br />industrial firm to locate in that area, <br />and <br />WHBREAS, as a measure of appreciation to said organi- <br />sation for selecting the City of Pleasanton <br />as its permanent home, <br />NOW, THEREFORB, B8 IT RBSOLVBD, that the Planning Commission of the <br />City of Pleasanton hereby resolves that <br />the future street that will extend from <br />Hopyard Road and eventually connect with <br />Stoneridge Drive, shall be named Johnson <br />Drive. <br />b. Recommendations of the Design Review Board regarding the application of Jannes <br />Tokens for facilities at 219 Division Street (relocated Meadowlark Dairy), pending <br />At the request of the applicant, this application was withdrawn al <br />as he plans to resubmit a new application in another location. <br />- 10 - <br />
