r. -~
Commissioner Gibbs was interested to determine what the developer's intentions
were in requesting this zone change. Mr. Castro advised the Co®isaion that
it would be perfectly proper to modify the District to another one subject to
whatever findings the Co~iasioa chose to make.
Upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Co®issioner Gibbs, and carried,
the following resolution was adopted unanimously.
RESOLUTION N0. 906
WHEREAS, the application of D & V Builders, Inc., to rezone
from the A (Agricultural) District to the BM-2500
(Multiple Family) District that property generally
located east of Nopyard Road and south of the Del
Valle Parkway, said property containing 22.77 gross
acres, more or less, and described in Assessor's
Map Book 946, Page 3375, Parcel 2-2, has come before
this Commission,
NOW, THEREFOBE BB IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the
City of Pleasanton hereby takes said application of
D & V Builders, RZ-69-10, under advisement until
the next regular meeting of the Planning Commission
on June 11, 1969.
8. COMMUNICATIONS.
a. Letter from Mrs. Wave L. Peterson regarding storage rental of garage area of a
duplex located at 344-346 West Anstela Street is a RM-1500 District.
Mrs. Peterson wished to have this matter brought before the Commission for further
disposition.
Chairman Plato felt that perhaps the zoning ordinance could be made a little more
flexible to accommodate situations such as Mrs. Peterson's.
Mr. Castro, Planning Director, referred to the staff report and various letters
regarding this application, which explained the situation and clarified the
differences in the uses of s single-family and multiple family areas.
Mrs. Peterson was in the audience and maintained that she was not aware that she
could not rent the extra garage space for storage of boats.
Upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and
carried, a resolution recommending denial of the use of the garage for rental
space was offered, with Co®issioners Antonini and Garrigan voting yes, and
Commissioner Gibbs and Chairman Plato voting no.
Since the Commissioners felt a decision could not be reached that evening with
only four Commissioners serving on the Board, upon motion of Commissioner Antonini,
seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, and carried, the following resolution wes adopted
unanimously.
RESOLUTION N0. 907
WBBREAS, the application of Wava L. Peterson under Z-68-80,
to construct additional detached garage apace at
344-346 W.
