,..~ -~ <br />RESOLUTION N0. 904 <br />WHEREAS, the application of the Planning Commission for <br />an amendment to Zoning Ordinance No. 520 regarding <br />Sec. 2.102a, regarding front yard setbacks, has <br />come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEBEFORE BB IT RESOLVED, that pending the submittal of a <br />draft for said amendment, this item is continued <br />to the next meeting of the Planning Commission <br />on June 11, 1969. <br />6. NSW BUSINESS - PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br />a. BZ-69-9 Larsen-Gerton Realty <br />Application to rezone from the C-F (Commercial Freeway) Mstrict to the C-S <br />(Commercial-Service) District that property described as Parcel 7 of Rancho el <br />Valle de San Joae, Plot 1, Subdivision A, Bernal portion, said property con- <br />taining .63 acres, more or less. Said property is located on the west side of <br />Santa Rita Road lying approximately 237 ft., more or leas north of the Arroyo <br />del Valle, or that property commonly known as 915 Santa Rita Road. <br />Chairman Plato opened the Public Hearing. Nr. Castro referred to the staff <br />report, explaining that the C-F Mstrict is nonconforming with the General <br />Plan. It was the feeling that the Central Business District should not extend <br />further than the Arroyo. The Planning Director felt that the rezoning to the <br />C-S (Service Commercial) District would be very proper. <br />Mr. Bernard Gerton, the applicant, was present and concurred with the remarks <br />made by the Planning Director. <br />Chairman Plato inquired what type of buaiaesaes might be placed in the building <br />should it be rezoned to the C-S District. 2Sr. Gerton replied that he did not have <br />anyone definitely to take over the space, but that several offers had been made <br />for equipment rental space, garage uses, garage door manufacturing and custom <br />car building such as dune buggies, etc. There was also the possibility of a <br />moving and storage operation going in, or perhaps the building would be torn <br />down and a car wash put in. Mr. Garton further explained that his realty office <br />has notified the adjoining gas station operation that their lease was cancelled <br />the day their office purchased the subject site. The office section of the <br />building is being turned over to Teenage Enterprises for the ewrmer. Mr. Gerton <br />closed his remarks by stating that should the rezoning be approved, he would be <br />able to rent the building within a week. <br />There being no further discussion, upon motion of Commissioner Garrigan, seconded <br />by Chairman Plato and carried, the Public Hearing was closed. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Carrigan, seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, and carried, <br />the following resolution was offered: <br />RBSOLUTION N0. 905 <br />A resolution of the Planning Commission of the <br />City of Pleasanton, recommending to the City <br />Council the approval of Zone Change 69-9, filed <br />by Larsen-Gerton Realty. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />has considered Zone Amendment Petition 69-9 filed <br />by Larsen-Gerton Realty to amend Sec. 4.102, <br />Zoning Ordinance No. 520, to change the zone <br />district designation from the C-F (Commercial <br />Freeway) Mstrict to the C-S (Commercial Service) <br />District, on property described as follows: <br />- 3 - <br />
