Valley Trails development - inspection of sidewalks and possible elimination <br />of same for the entire develooment. <br />It was requested that this item be continued to the meeting of June 25, pending <br />a review of the members, in particular, the two new Commissioners. Upon motion <br />of Commissioner Pereira, seconded by Co®issioner Antonini, and carried, it <br />was moved this item be continued to June 25, to permit the members to inspect <br />the development. <br />14. MATTERS INITIATED BY CCI+AiCSSIDN MEMBERS. <br />a. There was discussion that the Commissioner should initiate a resolution of <br />appreciation on behalf of Commissioner Walter Arnold and Chairman Arthur Plato <br />whose commissions expired as of May 5, 1969. The City Attorney stated that he <br />would take care of drafting up said resolution. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pona, seconded by Commissioner Pereira, and carried, <br />Resolution No. 917 was adopted unanimously. <br />b. Since new members were serving for the first time, it was necessary to formally elect <br />said members to the Board of Adjustment and the Board of Design Review. <br />(i) - Chairman Garrigan elected Commissioners Antonini and Pereira to serve on the <br />Board of Adjustment, with Chairman Gibbs continuing in that capacity. <br />(ii)- For the Board of Design Review, the members chosen were Commissioners Gibbs <br />and Pons, with Chairman Garrigan continuing in that capacity. <br />~. Another item for discussion was the reappointment of a Planning Commission member <br />to the Advisory Board of the Bast Bay Regional Parks District. Chairman Garrigan, <br />who is presently filling this capacity, felt that his other duties were too heavy <br />to permit him to continue to serve on this Board. To this end, Commissioner <br />Pereira suggested that perhaps Vice Chairman Pons could take over this duty. This <br />suggestion was duly seconded by Chairman Garrigan. <br />d. Another item suggested was a joint meeting of the Pleasanton and Livermore Planning <br />Commissioners. This comment was taken under advisement. <br />e. Also, Planning Director Castro requested the Commissioners to advise at the next <br />meeting of their vacation dates in order that meeting dates could be firmed up. <br />There being no further business, upon motion of Chairman Garrigan, seconded by Commissioner <br />Pons, and carried, the meeting was adjourned at °• " °" <br />- 8 - <br />
