J • , <br />_~ <br />The Commissioners, to an extent, did not think it advisable to change the <br />name Foothill Road to another designation which would be more difficult to <br />pronounce. <br />A conclusion was eventually reached, and upon motion of Vice Chairman Pons, <br />seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, and carried, the following resolution was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 932 <br />WHEREAS, the request of the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission to rename Foothill Road <br />"E1 Camino Viejo" as part of a historical <br />trail has come before this Commission, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BB IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission <br />of the City of Pleasanton hereby passes the <br />following resolution: <br />a) that the name Foothill Road be maintained <br />as its proper designation but that signs be <br />posted along said road designating it to be <br />the original "E1 Camino Viejo" trail, <br />b) that a policy be adopted to designate a <br />right-of-way along Foothill Road for a <br />hiking and bicycle trail. <br />13. MATTES FOR INFORMATION OF CClQffSSION. <br />a. Review of PUD Amendments <br />As the hour was getting late and this item promised to be a lengthy one, it <br />was decided to postpone discussion on the matter. <br />Upon motion of Vice Chairman Pona, seconded by Commissioner Gibbs, and carried, <br />it was moved that this item be continued to August 13, 1969. <br />There being no further business, upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by <br />Vice Chairman Pons, and carried, the meeting was adjourned at 10:40 PM. <br />- 9 - <br />
