,- <br />MINUTE S <br />PLANNING COlR~lISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />Pleasanton Justice Court <br />30 West Angela Street <br />August 13, 1969 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at 8:00 PM <br />by Chairman Carrigan. <br />1. ROLL CALL. <br />PRESENT Co®issioner Gibbs <br />Commissioner Pereira <br />Commissioner Pons <br />Chairman Carrigan <br />Secretary Castro <br />ABSENT Commissioner Antonini <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Gibbs, seconded by Commissioner Pons and carried, the <br />minutes of the meeting of July 23, 1969, were approved as submitted. <br />4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA. <br />Additions - 8 a. Com<sunications from Western Sierra Lumber Company. <br />8 b. Questionnaire in rough draft form for Valley Trails sidewalk <br />problem. <br />Revision - 13 c. This item will be heard as 6 a under Public Hearings. <br />6. NBW BUSINESS - PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br />a. Presentation of Industrial Brochure by the Industrial Committee of the Chamber <br />of Commerce. <br />Mr. John Sdmands, Editor of the Times, a local newspaper, presented the Commissioners <br />and City staff with an industrial brochure which spelled out in detail the ordinance <br />requirements for industrial properties, along with a brief synopsis of the major <br />industries already situated within the City limits of Pleasanton. <br />Mr. Edmanda advised that there were 520 copies of this pamphlet available for the <br />general public, which will be sent out to developers, brokers, etc. <br />The Commissioners complimented Mr. Edmands on the fine job his organization did <br />in producing this informative and attractive brochure, adding that it should go a <br />long way in publicizing the advantages to be obtained from industry settling in <br />the City. Mr. Edmanda in turn thanked the Commissioners and the City staff, who <br />he felt cooperated fully with them in producing said booklet. <br />The Commissioners thanked Mr. Edmands and offered their assistance in every way <br />needed to realize the City's dream of attracting desirable industry. <br />- 1 - <br />
