,~- <br /> <br />It was the Commission's feelings that the map approval should be continued to <br />September 24, 1969, pending resubmittals by the applicant. <br />However, the Planning Director requested that the Commission consider the approval <br />of the rezoning for said property as the map would have no bearing on it at this <br />time. The Public Works Director concurred with this request. <br />Mr,. Tom Howarth, representing Reynold C. Johnson Company, was present and concurred <br />with the remarks of the City staff. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pereira, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and <br />carried, the Public Hearing was closed on Rz-69-17 (A }. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pereira, seconded by Commissioner Pons, and carried, <br />the following resolution was offered: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 944 <br /> A resolution of the Planning Commission of the City <br /> of Pleasanton, recommending to the City Council the <br /> approval of Zone Change No. 69-17 (A ), filed by <br /> Reynold C. Johnson Company. <br />~S the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />~ has considered Zone Amendment Petition No. 69-17 (A) <br /> filed by Reynold C. Johnson Company to amend the <br /> existing I-G-3 acre (General Industry, minimum lot <br /> size three acres) District to the I-G-40,000 <br /> (General Industry, minimum lot size 40,000 sq.ft.) <br /> District, that property described as follows: <br />a portion of Parcel 1-6 Assessor's Map Book 941, <br />Block 1200, <br />a portion of Parcel 2-7 Assessor's Map Book 941, <br />Block 1200, <br />a portion of Parcel 1-4 Assessor's Map Book 941, <br />Block 1300, containing 32.0 acres, more or less. <br />WHEREAS, said Commission has held a Public Hearing on this <br />petition and has examined the pertinent maps, <br />drawings and documents and finds that one or more <br />of the following conditions do exist: <br />1. That the proposed amendment will.,not beycontrary <br />to the spirit and intent of the General Plan, <br />2. That the proposed amendment is in the public <br />interest and general welfare, <br />3. That the proposed amendment creates a more <br />equitable condition for the community than now <br />prevails. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton hereby recommends to the City Council <br />the approval of said zone change as petitioned. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton on the <br />10th day of September, 1969, by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Antonini, <br />Gibbs, Pereira, Pons <br />Chairman Carrigan <br />Noes: <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />Attest: Secretary Castro <br />-2- <br />
