r <br /> <br />Commissioner Pons - read a preliminary study report of the Advisory Committee to <br />the General Plan review. Later, there was another report, and both showed <br />objection to the expansion. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pereira, seconded by Commissioner Pons, and carried, <br />the following resolution was offered: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 95G <br />A resolution of the Planning Commission of the <br />City of Pleasanton, recommending the denial of <br />Zone Change 68-5, filed by Western Sierra Lumber <br />Company. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />has considered Zone Amendment Petition No. 69-15, <br />filed by Western Sierra Lumber Company to amend <br />Sec. 3.100 of Zoning Ordinance No. 520 to change <br />the zone district designation Prom A (Agricultural) <br />to the C-C (Community Commercial) District on <br />property described as follows: <br />Parcel 3-4, Assessor's Map Book 946, <br />Block 3295, containing 7.25 acres, more or less. <br />WHEREAS, said Commission has held a Public Hearing on this <br />petition and has examined the pertinent maps, <br />drawings and documents and finds that one or more <br />of the following conditions do exist; <br />1. That the proposed amendment will be contrary to <br />the spirit and intent of the General Plan, <br />2. That the proposed amendment is not in the public <br />interest and general welfare, <br />3. That the proposed amendment creates a less <br />equitable condition for the community than now <br />prevails. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City <br />of Pleasanton hereby denies said zone change <br />amendment as petitioned. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton <br />on the 24th day of September, 1969, by the <br />following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Pereira, Pons and <br />Chairman Carrigan <br />Noes: Commissioners Antonini and Gibbs <br />Absent: <br />Abstain: <br />Attest: Secretary Castro <br />6. PUD-69-6, Phil Davidson <br />Application to rezone from the R-1-6500 (Single Family) District to the P.U.D. <br />(Planned Unit Development) District, that property described as Parcel 1 of <br />Assessor's Map Book 946, Block 3032, containing 2.67 acres, more or less. <br />Chairman Carrigan opened the Pub13c Hearing. The staff recommendation is for <br />denial. <br />The architect, Herman Ruth, was present and spoke in favor of the application. <br />There were many people in the audience who resided in the Rosepointe area who <br />were very much opposed to this application for the patio houses. <br />-5- <br />
