<br />PLANNING COMMI3SION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA, COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />MINUTES <br />The regular adjourned meeting of the Planning Commission was held in the <br />City Hall on Thursday, September 27, 1956 at 8:00 p.m. with Chairman <br />Hansen presiding. <br />Roll Call showed present: Commissioners Abrott, Collier, Hanifen, Hewitson <br />and Hansen. Absent: Commissioner Nevis. <br />It was moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes at this time. <br />Correspondence: <br />Mr. Barneyback of the Henry J. Kaiser Compsuy staff accepted the date of <br />October 11 as-a suitable date for meeting with the Commission. <br />Quarry Hearings were amounced. <br />The Alameda County Health Department had no recommendations to make on <br />the Tentative Map of Tract 1832. <br />Pacific Gas b &lectric Company had no gas or electric facilities which <br />would interfere with the development of Tract 1832. <br />Old Businesa• <br />Correspondence in connection with Subdivision Map Triact 1832 were read <br />as follows: <br />The Alameda County Planning Commission recoaaoended that the Map not be approved <br />for the following reasons: <br />1. That the total design of the tract, and especially the major circn- <br />lation pattern and logation of stub streets be considered in relation to a <br />comprehensive design study of the surrounding area in relation to the city <br />including careful consideration to relating street and lot design to the <br />topography. <br />2. That the short blocks, 9 and 10, be eliminated if possible. <br />3. That Altura Avemae, a dead end street with no turnaround provision, <br />be restricted to 600'r in length or less. <br />4. That the possible need for a school site in this tract be discussed <br />with the school district. <br />The Pleasanton Joint School District requested a delay in the approval of the <br />Tract so that further study could be made by the State Department of Education <br />as to `a passible site for a school. <br />City Engineer Charley Pestana submitted the following Conditions of Approval <br />on Tentative Tract 18321 <br />1. All of Tract 1832 shall be within the city limits of Pleasanton. <br />2. The subdivider shall pay annezatfon charges as required by the <br />Gity of Pleasanton. <br />3. Minimum lot area within Tract 1832 to be 6000. square feet; miniaum <br />average width of lots to be 60 feet. IIse of land: Single Fami1,Y <br />Residential. <br />4. All provisions of the City of Pleasanton Subdivision Ordinance shall <br />be complied xith. <br />5. Easements designed in accordance with standard engineering practice <br />and approved by the City Engineer shall be required where storm <br />waters discharge upon adjoining properties. <br />6. Standard vertical curb and gutter and separated and/or integral <br />sidewalks shall be constructed on all streets. <br />7. Prior to the final preparation of the subgrade and placement of <br />base material, all underground utility mains shall be installed <br />
