~ ..
Mr. Struthers letter of April 5th relative to Article 3, entitled Tentative Map,
was read. The proposed changes and additions will be discussed further at the
Planning Commission work session of April 25th. It was requested that both
Mr. Struthers and Engineer Pestana attend this meeting.
A letter from the County Planning Commission requesting ax~y comments that the
City Planning commission might have on proposed expansion of facilities by Rain-
bow Park Inc. to the Bonita Park aocated off Pleasanton-Sunol Road was read.
The Secretary was directed to advise the .alameda County Planning Commission that
the Commissioners had no comment.
A discussion followed on the proposed Trailer Court ordinance and whether or not
the trailer court operators should be permitted to rent or sell trailers. Sev-
eral property owners present protested and stated that it would further reduce
their opportunities to rent apartments, etc. On motion by Commissioner Wkxarton,
seconded by Comaissioner Trowbridge, and passed unanimously, the following will
be added to Section 7.33j of the proposed Trailer Court Ordinance:
"No owner or operator of a mobile home park in the city of Pleasanton
shall be permitted to rent trailers on the premises. Change of owner-
ship of hailers may be carried out within the park if all other re-
quirements outlined in this ordinance have been complied with."
The correspondence between the Planning Commission and Dfr. Pestana relative to
the Conuvissions request for the City engineer to study the California State Codes
as relating to the trailer court ordinance was read. Further discussion was post
-poned pending receipt by Mr. Rugg, of :Jise 4ssociates, of a condensed version
of the California Codes as relating to this matter.
Councilman Gerton suggested that an Interim ordinande, such as Livermore now has,
be studied by the Planning Commission. He pointed out that until such time as
the passage of the necessary ordinances was accomplished this would leave zoning
regulations, sign erection, etc. to the discretion of the City Council and City
Planning Commission.
Tj[ere being no further business to come before the Commission the meeting was
adjourned at 9:41 Y.M. to meet again in regular session on :1pri1 18th, at 8 P.At.
at the City Hall.
..
Secretary
