No com- <br />plaints were known to have existed previously. <br />Commissioner Trowbridge called attention to the lack of specific districts <br />for professional offices and that no apace was available except in the central <br />business district. Commissioner DeVor stated that this seemed to be a logical <br />use now, and that 15 years from now it might not but that theie should be no <br />objection now. <br />Ia answer to Chairman Wetherby~s question, it was deeided a public hearing <br />was not necessary. <br />Resolution No. 18 <br />Introduced by CosoaisaionerWetherby, seconded by Commissioner DeVor, finding <br />the use applied for met the requirements of the Interim Zoning Ordinance; that a <br />public hearing was not required; and granting the Conditional Zoning permit, and <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AY&S: Commissioners DeVor, Hanifen, Mitchell, Trowbridge, Wharton and <br />Wetherby. <br />NOES: None. <br />Commissioner Trowbridge explained to the applicant that he should wait out <br />the seven days appeal period and obtain a building permit for any alterations <br />undertaken. <br />Commissioner Trowbridge brought up the matter of considering applications <br />not on the distributed agenda. He pointed out the Commissioners and the public <br />do not have the opportunity to know in advance what is to be considered. <br />The Secretary stated that the present procedure of holding the agenda open <br />untii the last minute does not allow for staff study and recommendation. To <br />close the agenda, however, might csuse an applicant to wait for over a month to <br />have a hearing before the Commission in view of the single monthly meeting. <br />A general discussion on the desirability of holding two regular meetings <br />per month was held in which it was pointed out the agenda was frequently so <br />full of variance and permit matters it did not allow for real planning conaid- <br />erationa; that applications are often processed very slowly; that the Commission <br />meets in work sessions oa other occasaions during the month so more frequent <br />regular meetings would cst;take~oonriEimedithe Commfsaioners. <br />Resolution No. 19 <br />Introduced by Cosmiasioner Hanifen, seconded by Commissioner Wetherby, pro- <br />viding for regular Planning Commission meetings on the first and third Thmzadays <br />of each swath and closing of the meetings agenda at 5 o~clock P.M. of the Friday <br />preceding the day of the meeting except for items offered from the floor and <br />accepted for discussion by a majority of the Commission, was adopted by the fol- <br />lowing vote; <br />AYES: Commissioners DeVor, Hanifen, Mitchell, Trowbridge, Wharton and <br />Wetherby. <br />Noea• None. <br />Commissioner Wharton reported that he had attended a meeting called by the <br />Division of Highways to obtain local inforaation relative to the future location <br />of'Highway 21 (Foothill Road) from Dublin to Scotts Corner.
