Jansen, 1313 East Avenue, Livermore, for a Conditional <br />Zoning Permit for the business-commercial use of a parcel of land near the Alisal <br />School and described in Ordinance No. 267. <br />The City Attorney explained that the Interim Zoning Ordinance had in effect <br />set aside previous district zoning action, leaving some doubt as to the proper <br />procedure to obtain an extension of the tine limits set out in Ordinance No. 267. <br />Thin provision requires construction to be started on the professional buildings <br />proposed by Mr. Jensen within one year, or prior to December 10, 1957. Mr. <br />Struthers expressed the opinion that action by the Commission under theInterim <br />Zoning Ordinance would be appropriate. <br />Mr. Jensen stated that due to general building conditona, it is not practical <br />to start construction at this time, bnt he wishes to have continued the comercial- <br />buainess use for an additional year. <br />Commissioner Wetherby stated this matter seemed to be one of required routine <br />since the zoning. question has long since been decided. He noted that Ordinance <br />No. 26? was reatrictire in other ways than just time - namely that it be used for <br />professional offices, requires off-street parking, be screened, etc. <br />Upon being asked Mr. Jensen said the property in question is one and one half <br />acres in size and is not a portion of Tract 1825, but lien between the tract a~ <br />the Aliaal School on the east aide of Santa Rita. <br />Resolution No. 17 <br />Introduced by Commissioner Wetherby and seconded by Commissioner Hanifen, <br />firming that the application meets the requirements of the Interim Zoning Ordinance <br />and granting the Conditional Zoning Permit fora period of one year, oa•eondition <br />that all the requj.roments (except that of time limit) of Ordinance No. 267 (a copy <br />of which is attached hereto) be complied with, and adopted by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners DeVor, Hanifen, Mitchell, Trowbridge, Wharton sad <br />Wetherby. <br />NOTES: None. <br />Application of Raymond L. Borame, Temple Street, Sunol, to build a multiple <br />family unit oa the rear of the two lots commonly known as 340 and 350 Augustine <br />Street, was presented. <br />Mr. Borame explained that he had taken an option on the property which has <br />110 feet of frontage and over 168 feet in depth. Two small single family units <br />are on the front of the lots with 22 feet betweett them. He wishes to build a <br />duplez (total eight rooms) 30 by 60 feet on the rear portion of the lots, which <br />has a total building site area of almost 18,000 square feet. He pointed out that <br />
