IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA - STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Minutes <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Pleasan8~n8P~nniCg~i~ sHanifenspresida <br />to order at the City Hall on October 21, 1959 <br />ing. <br />Roll Call: Present - Commissioners Allison, Lozano, Tendon, Aanifen <br />Absent - Co~iseioner Mitchell <br />On motion oY Commissioner~Allison, seconded by Commioved as orzrecteda aCondition <br />by all present, the minut..s oY October 7th were app <br />(C) of Resolution 76 to read as follows: that the existing garage, as shown on <br />the plan, may be moved to a new location on the lot if it conforms to the require- <br />ments of the building code, or if the garage does not meet these requirements, it <br />is to be demolished and a paved off-street parking space for two csrs is to be <br />provided. <br />Mr. George Sobiela represented Mr. James Patterson in his request for a Condi- <br />tional Zoning Permit to construct two apartments over garages on his property at <br />465 Division Street. Mr. Sobiela explained the plans and upon questioning from <br />the Commissioners, stated that there would be two, one bedroom apartments, with a <br />workshop and garages beneath. City Engineer Sypher questioned the plumbing Yacil- <br />ities and elicited the fact that a portion was already in the cement slab now on <br />the property. He also stated that at some future date, Mr. Patterson would erect <br />carports on another portion of the property. Further discussion followed on the <br />desirability oY using the area beneath the apartments as a workshop and sleeping <br />quarters. On motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano and <br />approved by all present, RESOLUTION X77, approving the Conditional Zoning Permit <br />under the following conditions, was passed. <br />RESOLUTION #77 <br />The application of Mr. James Pat Patterson to construct two apartments over <br />garages on hie property at 465 Division, having been Yiled on October 8, 1959, <br />pursuant to Ordinance 293 of the City oY Pleasanton and the matter duly considered <br />at the public meeting of the City of Pleasanton Planning Commission; <br />NOW THEREFORE the Planning Commission does resolve: <br />1) That no public hearing is deemed necessary in the public interest in <br />this matter. <br />2) That the Planning Commission finds the conditions of Section 2.21 of <br />Ordinance X293 pertaining to Residential Uses have been met. <br />3) That the CONDITIONAL ZONING PERMIT is hereby granted subject to the <br />Yollowing conditions: <br />a) That there be at least two garages for a maximum of two units. <br />b) That the existing workshop be removed. <br />4) That the Secretary is hereby instructed to Yorward copies of this reso- <br />lution to the applicant, City Administrator, Building Inspector sad any <br />other interested parties. <br />Mr. and Mra. George Shaw's application Yor a permit to care for retarded <br />children in their home at 264 Spring Street was considered by the Commission. On <br />motion oY Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved by <br />all present, RESOLUTION X78, granting the Conditional Zoning Permit, was adopted. <br />RESOIUTION #78 <br />The application of George and Hazel Shaw to care for retarded children in <br />their home at 264 Spring Street, having been filed on October 8, 1959, pursuant <br />to Ordinance 293 of the City of Pleasanton and the matter duly considered at the <br />public meeting of the City of Pleasanton Planning Commission; <br />
