IN 'PHE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA - STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Minutes <br />December 3, 1959 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Pleasanton Planning Commission was called to <br />order at the City Hall on December 3, 1959 at 8:05 P.M. Vice-Chairman Mitchell presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Allison, Landon, Lozano, Mitchell <br />Absent -Chairman Hanifen <br />On motion of Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Landon, and approved by <br />all present, the minutes of November 19, 1959 were approved as forwarded by the Secretary. <br />The application of Eunice Archer, who was accompanied by John Heston owner of the <br />property, for a Conditional Zoning Permit to operate a snack-bar at 721+ Main Street, was <br />then brought before the Commission. Eunice Archer stated she had some plans for improv- <br />ing the property, among them putting receptacles up for waste material and an awning along <br />the side on the off-street for picnic tables. The Commissioners had no objections to this <br />as long as the awning did not project over the property line. On motion of Commissioner <br />Allison, seconded by Commissioner Landon, and approved by all Commissioners present, <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81, approving the Conditional Zoning Permit under the following conditions, <br />was passed: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 81 <br />Granting Conditional Zoning Permit on Application of Eunice Archer, 721+ Main Street, <br />Pleasanton, California, filed November 30, 1959, for snack-bar use. <br />The above described application, having been duly considered, pursuant to Ordinance <br />No. 293, of the City oY Pleasanton, and good cause appearing; <br />NOW TfN;REFORE, the Planning Commission does hereby resolve as follows: <br />1) That no public hearing is deemed necessary in the public interest in this <br />matter. <br />2) That the Planning Commission finds the conditions of Section 2.22 oY Ordinance <br />No. 293 Pertaining to Commercial uses have been met. <br />3) That a CONDITIONAL ZONING PERMIT is hereby granted for a period of six (6) <br />months, effective this date, subject to the following conditions: <br />a) No sign should project beyond the front property line. <br />4) That the Secretary is hereby instructed to forward copies of this Resolution <br />to the applicant, city officers and any other interested parties. <br />Mrs. Lois Collins' application for a Conditional Zoning Permit to operate a two-story <br />house at 625 Main Street as a Spanish Cafe with Pour (4) apartments upstairs, was brought <br />before the Commission for consideration. The Commission requested, seeing that it was for <br />public use, that the Fire and County Health Llepartments be contacted, and the building <br />should be brought up to present building standards. Also, parking space should be pro- <br />vided for both the customers of the Cafe and tenants. On motion of Commissioner Landon, <br />seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved by all Commissioners present, RESOLUTION <br />N0. 82, approving the Conditional Zoning Permit, under the following conditions, was <br />passed: <br />
