IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
Minutes
January 21, 1960
The regularly scheduled meeting of the Pleasanton Planning Commission was called to
order at the City Hall on January 21, 1960 at 8:05 P.M. Chairman Hanifen presiding.
ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Landon, Lozano and Chairman Hanifen
Absent -Commissioners Allison and Mitchell
On motion oY Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved by
all present, the minutes of January 7, 1960 were approved as forwarded by the Secretary.
Mr. George Mills came before the Commission in regard to his Conditional Zoning Permit
to establish, on a smell scale, a cabinet shop at 228 Kottinger Avenue. This shop is
to be located in his barn that is already on the property. This is to be full time
work and he would be doing all of the work himself. The immediate neighbors have no
objection in turning this barn into a cabinet shop, but the Commissioners present
deemed it necessary to call a public hearing and set the date for February 4, 1960
at 8:00 P.M. All residents in this area are to be advised.
Mr. Jack Line then came before the Commission in regard to his establishing a taxi
office and waiting room at 612 Main Street. At the present time, there is no taxi
service in Pleasanton, and Mr. Line is in the process of filing a taxi permit with
the Police Chief. The Commissioners present saw no reason in not granting this
permit, and on motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and
approved by all Commissioners present, RESOLUTION N0. 85, approving the CONDITIONAL
ZONING PERMIT under the following conditions, was passed:
RESOLUTION N0. 85
Granting Conditional Zoning Permit on Application of Jack Line, 612 Main Street,
Pleasanton, California, filed January 14, 1960, for commercial use.
The above described application, having been duly considered, pursuant to
Ordinance No. 293, of the City of Pleasanton, and good cause appearing;
NOW THEREFORE, the Planning Commission does hereby resolve as follows:
1) That no public hearing is deemed necessary in the public interest in
this matter.
2) That the Planning Commission finds the conditions of Section 2.22 oY
Ordinance No. 293 pertaining to commercial uses have been met.
3) That a CONDITIONAL ZONING PERMIT is hereby granted for a period of six
(6) months, effective this date.
4) That the Secretary is hereby instructed to forward copies of this Resolu-
tion to the applicant, city officers and any other interested parties.
Mr. William E. Clark came before the Commission for a Conditional Zoning Permit to
establish an electrical contracting and sales repair shop at 608 Main Street. The
Commissioners present saw no reason in not granting this permit, and on motion of
Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved by all Commissioners
present, RESOLUTION N0. 86, approving the CONDITIONAL ZONING PERMIT under the fol-
lowing conditions, was passed:
