IN THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Minutes <br />December 15, 1860 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting oY the Planning Commission was called <br />to order at the City Hall on December 15, 1960 at 8:05 P.M. with Chairman <br />Ralph Mitchell presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Lyndon and Lozano. <br />Absent - Commissioners Allison and Hanifen. <br />On motion of Commissioner Lyndon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and <br />approved by all Commissioners present, the Minutes of December 1, 1960 were <br />approved as forwarded. <br />Mr. Fales outlined the review of the General Plan and the Zoning Ordinance, <br />pointing out that the Master Plan should be reviewed yearly, revised and kept <br />up to date. The Zoning Ordinance revisions would automatically follow with the <br />revisions of the Master Plan. Mr. Fales stated that he would like to taut with <br />the County Planning StaYY to see what kind oY assistance they could oYfer in ex- <br />pending our planning area. The Commission instructed Mr. Fales to rough draft <br />e resolution extending the planning area and study revisions of the Zoning Ord- <br />inance. <br />Commissioner Lyndon moved that the Staff consider a larger Panning Area, <br />this area being bounded by Highway 50 on the Morth, Isabel Freeway on the East, <br />Vallecitos Road onthe South and the Crest, Hills above Highway 21, on the West, <br />and that the Staff meet with the County Planning Staff to get their advice on our <br />expanded General Plan, and that the Commission set February 16, 1961 as a Public <br />Hearing date to review the recommendations Prom the County Planning Staff. Sec- <br />onded by Commissioner Lozano and approved by all Commissioners present. <br />The City Engineer, Mr. Sypher, reported on the Standards for Hillside Dev- <br />elopment. Mr. Sypher read Resolution 3014 and recommended that the term width <br />be changed to dimension. The Commission instructed the City Engineer and the <br />City Administrator to suggest revision and administrative procedure of Resolution <br />#3014, and that it be put on the next agenda. <br />The proposed Subdivision Ordinance was discussed, and recommendations of <br />minor revisions, as suggested by Mr. Fales, were tentatively agreed to. The <br />Commission deferred action until the next meeting. <br />A Communication from the County Planning Commission regarding application <br />of Volk-McLain Community for Rezoning of approximately 1300 acres, part of wh3d1 <br />is in the Pleasanton Planing Area, was read by Mr. Fales. Some 678 acres of <br />this proposed 1300 acre rezoning lies within the Pleasanton Planning Area, <br />which includes all property south of Highway 50. The request for an advisory <br />opinion from the County Planning Commission included the statement that the <br />678 acres in quedtion was proposed to be rezoned fameagricultural to M-2, <br />heavy industrial zoning under the County Zoning Ordinance. After considerable <br />discussion, the Planning Commission passed Resolution X125 on motion of <br />Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and approved by all <br />commissioners present. <br />
