2. The Planning Commission believes that the City of Livermore~s choice <br />of site has been influenced by the apparent ease of acquiring land <br />from Alameda County, and that this has influenced the City of Livermore's <br />position in its choice. <br />3. This Planning Commission does recommend that the City of Livermore study <br />the feasibiAity of extending its present Airport in a Westerly direction. <br />4. A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to interested parties. <br />Consideration of the request for Annexation by John M. Stanley was brought <br />before the Commission. Several property owners from Adams Court were present, and <br />stated their views on the Annexation. Mr. Stanley answered questions and summarized <br />his interests. Mr. J. Perry and Mr. Wm. Hall spoke in behalf of the Annexation. <br />On motion of Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Landon, and ap- <br />proved by all Commissioners present, Resolution #133 was adopted. <br />RESOLUTION #133 <br />Resolved: <br />1. The Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton, having heard the views <br />of neighbors and resddents of Adams Court and Vineyard Avenue, does here- <br />by recommend favorably to the City Council the propost~ "Annexation #16;, <br />Vineyard Avenue South, Stanley Annex. <br />2. The Planning Commission recommends that upon Annexation, the holding zone <br />for 180 days be fixed as d'ollows: <br />RG - 25 (Residential-Garden-2500) <br />3. The Planning Commission recommends that Por General Plan purposes, the <br />remaining area on Vineyard Avenue South, Easterly of the City limits be <br />R-1, Single Family Residential. <br />4. A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to interested parties. <br />Mr. S. Corbett, of Nuclear Engineering, summarized the proposal to expand the <br />present Radio Active Wastes Disposal facility at 65 Ray Street. The Expansion would <br />include additional storage of radio active wastes. Mr. Corbett stated tie noise and <br />dust would be minimized with absolute filtration. All the work would be done inside, <br />and there would be no effluent. The Planning Commission asked several questions of <br />Mr. Corbett. Dr. Beatty and others in the audience offered comments. <br />The report of Joint City - Chamber of Commerce Off-Street Parking Committee was <br />tabled until the next meeting. <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, on Motion of <br />Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner Landon, and approved by all Commissioners <br />present, the meeting was adjourned at 11:20 p. m. to meet again on March 2, 1961, at <br />8:00 p. m. at the City Hall. )) J / <br />/ CC S <br />James M.
