IAT THE PLANNING COMMISSIOTd OF THE CITY OF PLEASAATTON <br />COUNTY OF ALA[+Ir:DA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />Minutes <br />May 4, 1961 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called <br />to order at the City Hall on May 4, 1961, at 8:00 p.m. with Vic e Chairman Philip <br />Landon presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Allison, and Lozano <br />Ex-Officio Commissioners Dana and Hohn <br />Absent- Commissioners Hanifen and Mitchell <br />Ex-Officio Commissioners Kamp and King <br />On motion of Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Lozano and approved <br />by all Commissioners present, the Minutes of April 20, 1961 were approved as <br />corrected. <br />Secretary Fales read a letter and application from Nr. 4lilliam Hall, of <br />Universal Vertol Inc., for a Zoning Permit to operate a heliport on the Alameda <br />County Fairgrounds during the 1961 County Fair. Public Hearing was declared <br />open by Vice Chairman Landon. Mr. Hall was present and spoke in behalf of the <br />Heliport. Mr. Trimi.ngham, Secretary - Manager of the Fair spoke in favor of the <br />heliport. A1r. Bud Perry stated his views against the concession. Vice Chairman <br />]~andon also stated his opinion against the Heliport. Public Hearing was closed. <br />On motion of Commissioner Allison, seconded by Commissioner Lozano Resolution ido. <br />142 was adopted by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Allison and Lozano <br />Tdoes: Commissioner Landon <br />Absent: Commissioners Hanifen and Nitahell <br />RESOLUTION N0. 142 <br />i~ihereas the application of Las Vegas Helicopter Airways, a division of <br />Universal Vertol, Inc., for a Zoning Permit to operate a heliport on the Alameda <br />County Fairgrounds during the 1961 County Fair, having come before this Commission <br />May 4, 1961, under Ordinance No. 309 (Zoning Ordinance) as amended, the Planning <br />Commission does hereby resolve as follows: <br />1. The Planning Commission does find as follows: <br />a. Tlotice has been given as required by law. <br />b. The circumstances required by Section 19.1003 of said Ordinance <br />Pdo. 309 do exist. <br />2. Zoning Permit with Performance Standards Approval is hereby granted subject <br />to the conditions set forth in Section 17.614 of Ordinance No. 309. <br />3. A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to interested parties. <br />Application of Norman :•iornow and E. L. Thompson for a Vairnace of 5' <br />from rear yard requirements for a C-G (General Commercial) zone in order to develop <br />a Commercial Service Center on First Stree, between Sprii~, Street and Vineyard Ave., <br />was reviewed by the Commission. <br />__ ._ _ __ __ _. .__ _ ._ _._ _ _ _ r_-- <br />
