IN 'I'IIE; FL9P11~iING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COiNTY OF AL4I~IEDA, STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA <br />Alinutes <br />May 18, 1961 <br />i'he regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called <br />to order by the Chairman Ralph Mitchell at 8:00 P.M., Iy1ay 18, 1961. <br />ROLL CALL: Present - Commissioners Allison, London and Lozano. <br />Absent - Commissioner Hanifen <br />Ex-Officio Commissioners iiamp and King. <br />On motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner TAZariO and <br />approved by all Commissioners present, the Minutes of Nay 1, 1961 were ap- <br />proved as corrected. <br />Public Hearing on Application of John Mann for a Variance, to construct <br />a shade arbor with one latticed wall on the property line, was reviewed by <br />the Commission. Secretary Fales explained the Ordinance on this particular <br />area and reported that the recommendation of the Staff was to continue the <br />Hexing on June 1, 1y61, in order to give the Staff and the City Attorney tune <br />to evaluate the difference between Ordinance 309 and the Building Code for this <br />specific case. The Planning Commission concurred with the recommendation of <br />the Staff and continued the Hearing until June 1, 1961. <br />~lication of Wanda Glaser Aldrich for a Variance to the minimum lot area and front <br />yard setback requirements of Section 6.5, Ordinance Pio. 309, to allow construction <br />of a dwelling on property located at 492 Division Street in R-1 District,, iris <br />then brought before the Commission. Secretary Fales stated the recommendation of <br />the Staff was to deny the Application. On motion of Commissioner Allison, seconded <br />by Commissioner Lyndon and approved by all Commissioners present Resolution Tvo. 149 <br />was adopted. <br />FuSOLUTIOT, 110. 149 <br />Whereas, the application of Wanda Aldrt'ch Glaser, for a Valiance from the <br />P~inimum lot area and front yard setback requirements of Section 6.5, Ordinance <br />P1o. 309, to allow nonstx'txetion of a dewlling on property located at 492 Division <br />Street, in an R-1 (Single Family Residential) District, having come before this <br />Commission May 18, 1961, under Ordinance Tdo. 309, Zoning Ordinance, as amended, <br />the Planning Commission does hereby resolve as follows: <br />1. The Planning Commission does find as follows: <br />a. tlotice has been given as required by l.aw. <br />b. The Circumstances required by Section 19.1003 of said Ordinance <br />do exist. <br />2. The Variance is hereby denied. <br />3. A copy of this Resolution shall be sent to interested parties. <br />Mr. F. J. Leonardo then came before the Commission with four applications <br />for Variances in order to construct dwellings at 311, 328, a42 and 375 Christina <br />Court. On motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commission Allison and <br />approved by all Commissioners present, Public Hearing was set for June 1, 1961. <br />
