that property fronting on the south side of St. Johns Street <br />from the Western Pacific Railroad right-of-way to the C.C. (Community <br />Commercial) District on Main Street from R-1 (Single Family Residential) <br />District to RG-15 (Residential Garden Apartment - 1500 Square Foot Mini- <br />mum Per Dwelling Unit) District under Ordinance No. 309 has come before <br />this Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, this Commission does find that: <br />1. Notice has been given as required by Section 22.104 <br />of Ordinance No. 309 (Zoning Ordinance); <br />2. The proposed amendment conforms with the Pleasanton <br />General Plan; and <br />3. The public necessity and general welfare requires the <br />proposed change of district; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission does hereby recommend Por approval <br />by the City Council the application of A. HILLII~R for rezoning <br />from R-1 (Single Family Residential) District to RG-15 (Residential Garden <br />Apartment - 1500 Square Foot Minimum Per Dwelling Unit) District the follow- <br />ing described property: <br />All that property fronting on the south side of St. Johns <br />Street from the Western Pacific Railroad right-of-way to the <br />C.C.(Community Commercial) District on Main Street. <br />Mr. Fales presented the following matters for the information of <br />the Commission: <br />1. The application of Leo Guidotti, 1384 "B" Street, Hayward, for <br />a Conditional Use Permit has been set for Public Hearing on February 1, <br />1962 at 8:00 P.M. Notice of this Hearing has been published. <br />2. The request of 0. Guasco, which was forwarded from December 21, <br />1961 by the Alameda County Commission, to continue the operation of an <br />auto wrecking yard as a non-conforming use. A discussion by the Commission <br />in regard to this request ensued, and it was decided that, if a nonconform- <br />ing use must be licensed, the business must then have a Conditional Use <br />Permlt, sad that, for the sake of fhture planning, the following conditions <br />should be attached when the permit 1s issued: <br />e) Cars should be stacked so that they cannot be seen over <br />the six (6) foot Pence; <br />b) Cara should be kept off the street in front, and there <br />should be s fence in front as well as in the rear; and <br />c) There should be a time limit placed on the permit so <br />that therc would be a regular review of this non-conforming <br />use, <br />and that these conditions should be made uniform throughout the County. <br />Therefore, on motion of Commissioner Landon, seconded by Chairman <br />Mitchell, it wa® unanimously decided that the above-named suggestions <br />4. <br />
