A discussion by the Commission followed Mr. Fales''report and, on
motion by Commissioner Tendon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and on
the vote of Aye by Commissioners Tendon, Lozano and Mitchell, and No by
Commissioner Antonini, the following resolution was passed:
RESOLUTION N0. 166
WHEREAS, the application of Mr. Leo Guidotti, 1384 "B" Street, Hayward,
requesting a Conditional Use Permit in order to allow construction
of a 12-unit Residential Ggxden Apartment in a C-C (Community Commercial)
District on a vacant parcel fronting Main Street north of Angela Street and
Angela Street west of Main Street has been brought before this Commission;
and
WHEREAS, this Commission does find that the granting of this Conditional
Use Permit does not conform with the Expanded Pleasanton General
Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the above-named application for a Conditional Use Permit is
not approved by this Commission.
Chairman Mitchell then advised Mr. Guidotti that he has seven (7)
days in which to make an appeal before the City Council, if he so desires.
The matter of development of property owned by Mr. Forrest Adams on
Adams Court in the area of Annex No. 14 was then brought before the
Commission. Mr. Adams stated that although he has no definite plans in mind
he is somewhat interested in developing his land into good rental property,
such as individual homes or garden apartments, and wanted to get an opinion
from the Commission regarding his ideas. Messrs. Wright and Watson, and
Mrs. MacDonald, residents of Adams Court near Mr. Adams' property, spoke
in favor of an R-1 (single family residence) zoning of the area. Inasmuch
as the zoning of this particular area has not been discussed prior to this
time, and after some discussinn by the Commission, it was decided that
it might be a good idea to make a field trip to the site. The field trip was
then set for Saturday, February 24, 1962, at 1:30 P.M. at which time Mr. Adams
will accompany the Commission on a tour of the site.
The results of the study session on the Capital Improvement Program
held January 24, 1962 were then brought up, and it was decided that a request
for a point study session with the City Council would be made. On motion by
Commissioner Tendon, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the following resolu-
tion was unanimously adopted:
2.
