2349 and, therefore, request that the County Commission consider having <br />the subdivider negotiate ihrther with the City of Pleasanton. <br />The next item on the agenda, also submitted by Mr. Struthers, was the <br />application of Henry J. Kaiser Company to permit expansion of sand and <br />gravel pit north of Stanley Blvd., approximately 1.5 miles northeast of <br />Pleasanton. This also was s referral from the Alameda County Planning <br />Commission. After some discussion, on motion of Commissioner Landon, <br />seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and unanimously approved, the Commission <br />requested that a letter be written to the Alameda County Planning Commission <br />recommending approval of this application. However, a request was to be <br />included in the letter that no further permits be allowed until the County <br />Zoning Map is clearly defined as to regulations on gravel pits. <br />A referral Prom the City Council followed regarding the installation of <br />a Rose Garden on First Street between Angela and Abbie Streets by Jackson- <br />Perkins Company. The Council requested a review and decision by the Planning <br />Commission as to the land use. A discussion ensued and, on motion oP <br />Commissioner Rega, seconded by Commissioner Landon, and on the following <br />vote: <br />Ayes - Antonini <br />Landon <br />Rega <br />Noes - Lozano <br />the Commission approved the land use, however, a request was made that, if <br />the Council approves the installation, the Commission be permitted to see <br />a plot plan beforebarid. <br />There was only one matter Por the information of the Commission; <br />Mr. Struthers wished to call attention to the forthcoming application of <br />Mr. Brondola for a permit to put a fruitstand on his property which is <br />located in the area of Annex 19 and has not been zoned as yet. <br />The Commission then received the communication £rom Dial Associates <br />requesting information as to the zoning regulations on property to be <br />used for a chicken processing plant.
