M I N U T E S <br />OF <br />THE MEETING OF <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA <br />February 15, 1962 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was held <br />February 15, 1962 at 8:00 P.M. In the absence of Chairman Ralph Mitchell, <br />Vice-Chairman Philip Landon called the meeting to order. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following Commissioners present: <br />Antonini <br />Absent: <br />Tendon <br />Lozano <br />Rega <br />Ex-Officio l~na <br />Hokin <br />Mitchell <br />Secretary Fales <br />Ex-Officio Kamp <br />King <br />On motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Landon, <br />the minutes of the meeting of February 1, 1962 were unanimously approved. <br />The first item on the agenda was a referral from the Alameda County <br />Planning Commission, namely Tentative Subdivision Map - Tract 2349, which <br />was submitted by Mr. William Struthers, in the absence of Mr. Fales. There <br />was some discussion on the map and at the conclusion of said discussion, <br />a motion was made by Commissioner Landon, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, <br />and unanimously approved, that a letter be forwarded to the Alameda County ,_ <br />Planning Commission including the following recommendations: <br />1. IP concrete curbing is to be installed, it should be according <br />to our City standards. We note that it is not indicated presently. <br />2. Parking should only be permitted on one side of the street. <br />3. The drainage easement should be extended; should be a nonexclusive <br />easement; and should be dedicated but not accepted. <br />4. Julie Lane should be renamed Julie Court. <br />5. 7n consideration of the possible development of adjacent <br />property, and the possible changes in traffic, the roadway right- <br />of-way should be 100 feet with turning areas of 80 feet diameter. <br />6. We strongly urge that a sanitary sewer system be put in the street <br />and that the subdivider be advised that a pumping station will be <br />necessary at a later de+.e so that the use of septic tanks is <br />eliminated. <br />The Commission also wished to call attention, in the letter, to the <br />present growth of this area and the possibility of future annexation of Tract <br />
