3. That the applicant provide and pay for adequate additional police
protection.
4, That all events involving the use of motorcycles cease by 6;00 P.M.
on the date of the race.
There were no communications.
Under Matters for the Information of the Commission, Secretary Fales introduced
Mr. Frank Addiego, the City's Junior Civil Engineer, who was present in the audience
and who is conjunction with Mr. Ted Fairfield, of MacKay and Sompa, the City's
interim Consulting Engineer, will assist the Commission as a part of the staff until
such time ae a new City Engineer is hired.
Mr. Art Hilliker arrived at the meeting subsequent to the appearance on the agenda
of his application, but wished to talk informally with the Commission in general
terms regarding his plane for development of the subject property. It was decided
by the Commission to hold a study session on this matter immediately following
adjournment of the meeting.
Vice-Chairman Landon introduced the question of the present statue of the Subdivisic;
Ordinance. Secretary Fales said several items need to be checked with the City
Attorney, and notes were left by the City Engineer for incorporation in the Ordinan-
ce. Mr, Ted Fairfield has studied the preliminary draft of the Ordinance and be-
lieves it to be a good and workable ordinance. A draft of the Subdivision Ordinance
will be prepared, and one more meeting will be held for revision and to incorporate
changes. It was agreed a public hearing on this matter should be scheduled for the
meeting of September 6. It was also agreed to schedule the development proposal
of Stover ~ Bullard on the agenda for the September 6 meeting.
Vice-Chairman Landon then brought up the subject of defining open apace for garden
apartments for incorporation in our present Zoning Ordinance in a RG-15 District.
He stated that Hayward and Fremont have definite requirements, and the Pleasanton
Planning Commission might well study them.
There being no further business, upon motion of Commissioner Wipfli, seconded by
Commissioner Rega, the meeting was adjourned at 8:25 P.M., to meet again on Thurs-
day, August 16, 1962.
