M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE PIEETINO <br />of <br />THE PLAPI::INO CON~.'~IISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />October 18, 1962 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order <br />at 8:00 P. M, on Thursday, October 18, 1962, by Vice-Chairman Philip Landon. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Vice-Chairman Landon <br />Commissioners Antonini <br />Lozano <br />Wipfli <br />Secretary Fales <br />Absent: Commissioner Rega <br />Ex-Officio Dana <br />Hokin <br />Kamp <br />On motion of Commieaioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Wipfli, the mimitea <br />of the meeting of October 4 were approved as submitted and unanimously adopted <br />by those Commissioners present. <br />Vice-Chairmen Landon then proceeded to the request of Mr. Robert H. Kamp, Main <br />and First Streets, Pleasanton, for a zoning permit in order to erect a non- <br />illuminated sign regarding his business at the above c ion. Secretary Falea <br />explained the proposed sign in question (ifK~iYr~ is for a milk depot, <br />and is to be located twelve feet from the building a eight feet from ground <br />level. Mr. Fales states the staff finds no conflict between this application <br />and the Zoning Ordinance. After discussion by the Commission, it was moved by <br />Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Wipfli, and carried, that a zoning <br />permit be granted to Mr, Robert H, Kamp in order to erect a non-illuminated sign <br />at the Milk Depot at First and Ma1n Streets. <br />Vice-Chairman Landon then introduced the request of Mr. Jay D. Lambert, 2357. <br />Stxobridge Ave., Castro Valley, for a zoning permit with site plan and archi- <br />t~letural approvg1, in order to construct a two-story, six-unit multiple dwelling <br />at the north~$4'ner of Harrison and Weat Angela Streets. Representing the <br />applicant in the audience was Mr. Larry Lambert, Rt. 1, Box 143, Pleasanton. <br />Secretary Fates stated 1500 square feet minimum per unit is required for the six <br />uaits; nine parking spaces are indicated, which are required. Side width, <br />fxon:age, rear yard and side yard setbacks are adequate. Landscaping is indica- <br />te8, and also a six~foot fenee adjacent to tb.e G7estern Pacif3.c right-of-way. <br />Black top is proposed to be put over the psrF3ng area. A question was posed as <br />to whether the portion of the lot on Rose Avenue would be considered as a side <br />ya rd or rear yard. It was decided this question needs to be clarified by the <br />
