If the City approves, they will proceed with negotia-
tions. It was the unanimous reaction of the Commissioners that this would be a
desirable industry for this location. Mr. Falea said a precedent would not be neces-
sarily established in this instance, however, if other heavy industry wants to
develop closer to Pioneer Village some line would have to be drawn and a buffer zone
created betcaeen the residential and industrial land uses. The City Council recom-
mended writing a letter to Mr. Lovelace, with a copy to Mr. Covey, indicating ap-
proval of the general location for such a plant provided the Planning Commission
approves. It was moved by Comffisaioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Rega, and
carried, that a letter be sent to Mr. Lovelace of Kaiser Sand and Gravel, with a
copy to Mr. Covey of Sacramento Concrete Pipe Co. indicating approval of the general
location of the proposed subject plant.
There being no further business to come before the Coammiasion, upon motion of Comr
ffiasioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Wipfli, the meeting case adjourned at
9:30 P.M., to meet again on Wednesday, August 28, 1963, at 8:00 P.M.
