M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />THE PLAtdNING COMhIISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />September 25, 1963 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:00 P,M, on Wednesday, September 25, 1963, by Chairman Phi11p Landon, <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioners Lozano <br />Wipfli <br />Chairman Landon <br />Secretary Fales <br />Absent: Commissioner Antonini <br />It will be noted Commissioner Rega arrived at 8:06 P,M, <br />On motion of Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Couenisaloner Wipfli, the minutes <br />of the meeting of September 11, 1963, were approved as presented by unanimous <br />vote of those Commissioners present. <br />Chairman Landon proceeded to the application for a Zoning Permit with Planned <br />Unit Development Approval, for the area of Tract No. 2481. The Commission pre- <br />viously granted a Zoning Permit by Resolution No, 224 on June 12, 1963. Ordin- <br />ance No, 372, assigning zoning districts to this area, did not become effective <br />until September 19, 1963, Upon motion of Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Com- <br />miaeioner Wipfli, the following resolution was unanimously adopted by those <br />Commissioners present: <br />RESOLUTION N0, 243 <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No, 372, amending Zoning Ordinance No, 309 by pro- <br />viding a zoning map therefor for the area known as Annex No. <br />27, Valley View Annex "B"~ did not become effective until September 19, <br />1963; and <br />WHEREAS, the Zoning Permit approving the Planned Unit Development was <br />granted before September 19, 1963; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No. 224, adopted June 12, <br />1963, approving a Zoning Permit for Planned Unit Development <br />for Tract No, 2481 be and ie hereby readopted as though set out in full <br />herein. <br />The next item on the agenda was consideration of Annexation No, 29, Pleasanton- <br />Sunol Annex "C", Mr, Falea explained the subject annexation is on the west aide <br />of Pleasanton-Sunol Road immediately south of Harper-Row, Publishers. The public <br />hearing is scheduled for October 14, 1963, A draft annexation agreement has been <br />forwarded to Scholastic Magazines; recommended zoning is I-P, Upon motion of <br />Commissioner Wipfli, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, the following resolution <br />was unanimously adopted by those Commissioners present: <br />RESOLUTION NOz 244 <br />RESOLVED: <br />The City of Pleasanton Planning Commission does hereby <br />recommend favorably to the City Council annexation to <br />the City of Pleasanton of Annexation No, 29, Pleasanton- <br />Suxsol Annex "C", as shown on preliminary drawings on file <br />in the office of the City Engineer, <br />The preliminary consensus of opinion of the Planning <br />Commission is that said territory should be zoned <br />I-P (Industrial Park). <br />
