M I N U T E S <br />Of <br />T"ciE MEETING <br />of <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />February 13, 1964 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:00 P,M. on Thursday, February 13, 1964, by Chairman Philip Landon. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioners Antonini <br />Rega <br />Wipfli <br />Chairman Landon <br />Secretary Falea <br />Absent: Commissioner Lozano <br />On motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the minutes of <br />the meeting of January 22, 1964, were approved as presented by unanimous vote of <br />those Commissioners present, <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of John M, Stanley, <br />3850-J Vineyard Avenue, for an amendment to Ord. No. 309 rezoning the property <br />located at 4275 Pleasanton Avenue from R-1 to RG-15. Mr. Chris Beratlis <br />wee present on behalf of. Mr. John Stanley. No one spoke against the subject <br />application, whereupon it was moved by Commissaioner Antonini, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Wipfli, and carried, that the public hearing be closed. In giving the <br />staff report, Mr. Fales stated the subject application has been referred to <br />Livingston and Blayney, City and Regional Planners, for report and recommendation. <br />Mr. Fales proceeded to read a letter dated February 7, 1964, from Livingston and <br />Blayney which recommended that the subject property not be rezoned to RG-15 be- <br />cause the resulting density would be too high for this location and would be in- <br />har~nioua with the character and present pattern of development in the area. How- <br />ever, if acceptable to the applicant, it is recommended that the property be re- <br />zoned to RG-25 and that a variance be granted permitting the 52-foot site width on <br />the front portion of the site. Mr. Beratlis stated that the applicant concurs with <br />the recommended change in the application of zoning from RG-15 to RG-25. After <br />discussion by the Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Rega, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Wipfli, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of those <br />Comniasionera present: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 267 <br />WHR.RR.AR~ the application of John M. Stanley, 3850-J Vineyard Avenue, <br />for an amendment to Ord. No. 309 rezoning the property located <br />at 4275 Pleasanton Avenue from R-1 to RG-25 has come before this Commis- <br />sion; and <br />WHEREAS, this Commission does find that: <br />1. Notice has been given ae required by Section 22.104 of <br />Ordinance No. 309; <br />2. The proposed amendment conforms with the Pleasanton <br />General Plan; and <br />3. The public necessity and general welfare requires the <br />proposed change of district; <br />
