M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE MEETItiG <br />of <br />THE PLANI7ING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />February 20, 1964 <br />A special meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at 8:00 P.M. on <br />Thursday, February 20, 1964, by Chairman Philip Landon. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Yreaent: Commissioners Antonini <br />Lozano <br />Raga <br />Wipfli <br />Chairman Landon <br />Absent: Secretary Fa lea <br />City 8ngineez Campbell acted ae Secretary Pro Tempore for this meeting. <br />On motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the minutes of <br />the meeting of Febzuary 13, 1964, were approved as presented by unanimous vote. <br />Chairman Landon proceeded to the application of D ~ V Builders, Inc., 6000 Telegrap2 <br />Ave., Oakland, for a Zoning Permit with Planned Unit Development Approval for the <br />area of Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract No. 2591. Mr. Campbell explained that the <br />subject application is for Planned Unit Development approval under the Zoning Ord- <br />inance only. Yreaent in the audience on behalf of D ~ V Builders, Inc, were <br />Mesera. Dudley Proet, Ted Weaver, Don Bissell, Engineer with the firm of Martin 6 <br />Bissell, and Mr. Dana. After considerable discussion by the Commission, upon motion <br />of Commissioner Rega, seconded by Commissioner Wipfli, the following resolution was <br />unanimously adopted; <br />RESOLUTION N0. 269 <br />RESOLVED: <br />The Planning Commission has considered a Zoning Permit with <br />Planned Unit Development Approval for the area of Tentative <br />Subdivision Map. Tract No. 2591, dated February 7, 1964, <br />under Section 19.806 of Ordinance No. 309, the Zoning Ordinance, <br />and does hereby make findings as follows: <br />1. The proposed Planned Unit Development does conform to the <br />Pleasanton General Plen. <br />2. That the development of a harmonious, integrated plan as <br />presented justifies certain exceptions. <br />3. Reduction in minimum lot area for llx of lots ie reasonable <br />end justified under the circumstances. <br />4. Reduction in lot width fos 14& of lore ie reasonable and <br />justified under the circumstances. <br />5. The proposed development will create a residential enviro~nt <br />both desirable and stable, in harmony with the character of <br />surrounding neighborhoods, allowing land use of a density no <br />higher than the standards for open apace otherwise specified <br />for similar areas in Ordinance No. 309. <br />RESOLVED FURTHER: <br />That the Planned Unit Development presented with tha above mentioned <br />application, on file with the City Engineer, is approved and the <br />Zoning Permit is hereby granted to include single family, multiple, <br />commercial and a church park-swim club complex, subject to conditions <br />ae follows: <br />
