M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />February 26, 1964 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 26, 1964, by Chairman Philip Landon. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioners Antonini <br />Raga <br />Chairman Landon <br />Secretary Fales <br />Absent: Com<aiaeioners Lozano <br />Wipfli <br />On motion of Commissioner Rega, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, the minutes of <br />the meeting of February 20, 1964, were approved as presented by unanimous vote of <br />those Commissioners present. <br />Chairmen f.andon opened the public hearing on the request of L.A. Hilliker, 4377 <br />First Street, for an amendment to Ord. No. 309 rezoning a parcel of property located <br />northwest of 827 Division Street from R-1 to RG-25. Mr. Hilliker was p{eaent in <br />the audience and stated that a*, one tine the property was zoned RG-25 act rezoned <br />to R-l. There being no. further comments from the audience, it was moved by Com- <br />missioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Rega, and carried, that the public <br />hearing be closed. Mr. Fa lea stated that the subject application was submitted to <br />the City's Planning Consultants, Livingstoi: and Blayney, and their recommendation <br />was embodied in a letter dated February 20, 1964, which Mr. Fales read ae the staff <br />report to the Commission, and which stated it is recommended that the subject <br />pzoperty be rezoned to RG-25; however, before any building permits are iaeued for <br />additional apartment unite on the site, both the plan line for the widening of <br />Division Street, and the right-of-way for the Arroyo del Valle channel should be <br />established. There was some discussion on the widening of Division Street, and <br />City Engineer Campbell said the preliminary thinking is that it will probably be <br />widened on the north aide. Chairman Landon was in favor that no building permits <br />be iaeued until the precise manner of widening Division Street is determined. Upon <br />motion of Cammisaioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the following reso- <br />lution was adopted by unanimous vote of those Commissioners present: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 271 <br />WHEREAS, the application of L.A. Hilliker, 4377 First Street, for an <br />amendmant to Ord. No. 309 rezoning a parcel of property located <br />northwest of 827 Division Street from R-1 to RG-25 has come before this <br />Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, this Commission does find that: <br />1. Notice has been given ae required by Section 22.104 of <br />Ordinance No. 309; <br />2. The proposed amendment conforms with the Pleasanton <br />General Plan; and <br />3. The public necessity and general welfare requires the <br />proposed change of district; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED, that the Planning Comml.ealon does hereby recommend for approval by <br />the City Council the application of L.A. Hilliker for rezoning of <br />the subject property as described above. <br />
