T <br />RESr:?LUTIOi4 N0. 315 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Robert Roeder, 544 Kottinger Avenue, <br />in order Co operate a mail order service as a home occupa- <br />tion at the above location in an R-1 District, has come before this <br />Commission; <br />tai, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />The above-named Zoning Permit ie hereby granted. <br />Mr. False presented a request from the Pleasanton Women's Club with regard to the <br />proposed construction of a Tot Lot playground on City property at the corner of <br />Regalia and Kottinger Avenues, at the rear of the Pleasanton Women's Clubhouse. <br />The subject property is approximately 1~ acres in area, and it is proposed to <br />convert it to a playground in five etegea, culminating in dedication to the City. <br />This matter will be on the Planning Commission agenda of June 24, 1964, as a <br />Conditional Uae Permit application. This mstter was considered by the City Coun- <br />cil at the meeting of June 9, and has been referred to the Planning Commission <br />at this time fora preliminary opinion as to whether the subject location is <br />appropriate for such a facility and, if eo, is the proposed installation approp- <br />riate. This does not presuppose granting of the Conditional Uae Permit. Mre. <br />Joan Johnson and Mrs. Ruth Amaral, representing the Pleasanton Women's Club, were <br />present in the audience and apolce on behalf of the proposal, and stated there <br />are now approximately 180 children residing in Kottinger Village. Mr. Falea said <br />that the Housing Authority structures are considered to be released for any <br />future need in 1969. Considerable discussion ensued between the Commission, <br />representatives of the Women's Club and staff, following which it was moved by <br />Commissioner Rega, seconded by Commissioner Antonini, and carried, that the Plan- <br />ning Commission recommend to the City Council that they favorably consider the . <br />subject site at Regalia and Rottinger Avenues for the playground use ae proposed <br />by the Pleasanton Women's Club. <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Johnston, seconded by Commissioner Rega, and carried, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 11:42 P.M, to meet again on Wednesday, June 24, 1964, at 8:00 P.M, <br />
