Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of the Planning <br />Commission for sa amendment to Ordinance No. 309 rezoning the area surrounded by <br />Bernal Avenue, Augustine 8trset, Weet Angela Strut and the C-C District on the <br />went aide of Main Street, from the R-1 to the C-C District. There being ao <br />comments from the audience, it was moved by Commiaeioaer Antonini, seconded by <br />Commiaeiones Lozano, and carried, that the public hearing be cloned. After <br />discussion by the Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Lozano, seconded by <br />Commissioner Antonini, the following resolution wan adopted by unanimous vote: <br />R830LDTION N0. 327 <br />WNSRL+AS, the application of the Planning Commission !or an emtendmant <br />to Ordinance No. 309 rezoning the area aurrotmded by Bernal <br />Avenue, Augustine Street, West Angola Street and the C-C District on <br />the west side of Main Street, from the R-1 to the C-C District; <br />NOW, TBSRSFORB, ffi IT <br />RSSOLVSD, that the City Planning Commission doen hereby rscomnud for <br />approval by the City Council We application for rezoning of <br />the •ub~ect property as described above. <br />Q:airman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of 8. M. Tarr, 450 <br />Pine Nill Lane, for a Variance from Section 16.700, Ordinance No. 309, in order <br />to allow an addition to an existing tingle family dwelling without frontage on <br />a public street, in an R-1 District. Mr. Tarr was prsesnt in the audience and <br />stated h1a reason for desiring the addition wet to provide moss room. The <br />addition will consist of ton badrooma and a bath. Thera being no further comments <br />from the audience, it wsa moved by Commissioner Lozano, seconded by Commissioner <br />Raga, and carried, that the public hearing be closed. Mr. Campbell, in pre- <br />senting the staff report, pointed out that except for the requirement for frontage <br />on a public street this proposal meets all the requirements of Ordinance No. 309; <br />sad that it will create no significant additional load on the street, sewer or <br />water system nor on other City services each as Police and Fire. After discussion <br />by the Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Rega, seconded by Commissioner <br />Antonini, the following resolution was adopted bq tmanimoua vote: <br />RESOLUTION ND. 328 <br />WHEREAS, the application of 8. M. Tarr, 450 Pine %11 Lana, for a <br />Variance from Section 16.700, Ordinance No. 309, in order <br />to allow as addition to an exiatiag single family dwelling without <br />frontage on a public street, in an R-1 District; <br />NOW, TlD3REFORE, 88 IT <br />RESOLVED, that the above named Variance ie hereby granted with the <br />recognition that the Building Code raquiree buildings to be <br />located on a public strost and that this is a Variance granted to aha <br />requirements of the Coning Ordinance only; but that it ie not in conflict <br />with the building coda in that it is sot a new building. <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application oP D 6 V Builderp, <br />6000 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, for an amendment to Ordinance No. 309 rezoning <br />approximately 115 arras located north of Slack Avenue, south of Valley Avenue, <br />west of Santa Rita Road, and east of flopyard Road, from the "A" District to the <br />R-1 and RG-15 Districts. Mr. Campbell read a report submitted by Livingston and <br />Blayney. Mr. Dudley Frost, preeeat in the audience, concurred with the report. <br />After discussion between the Commission and Mr. Frost, it was datermined to <br />continue the Public Hearing to August 26, 1964, to allow prior approval of the <br />Tentative Map. Preliminary review of Tentative Map to be on August 12, 1964, <br />approval on Au„uat 26, 1964. IIpon motion of Commissioner Aatoaini, seconded DY <br />Commissioner Lozano, and carried, that the application for rezoning be continued <br />to August 26, 1964. <br />Thera being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of <br />Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Rega, and carried, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 9:30 P.M. to meat again on Wednesday, July 29, 1964, at 8:00 P.M. <br />
