<br />MINUT 1:5 <br />of <br />TEIE PLAIiNI::G CO2lISSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />September 9, 1964 <br />The regularly eciaeduled meeting of the Planning Conmdsaion was called to order <br />at 8:G0 F.14. on SJedneaday, September 9, 1964, by Chairman Landon. <br />ROLL CALL showe3 the following: <br />Present: Coumiseionare Antonini <br />Lo^ano <br />P,ega <br />Chairman Landon <br />Secretary Fales <br />ALaent; Commissioner Johnston <br />Commiaeloner 73ega called attention to the fact that in the minutes of the meet- <br />ing of. August 2b, the roll call on Resolution No. 334 should rQ~+d: :1RST9INIB): <br />Comm'.esionar Rega; ABSENT: Coaa¢iseioner Johnston. On motlen of fcmmi3sioner <br />Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, the minutes of the meeting of <br />August 26, 1964, ware approved as corrected by unanimous vote of those Commie- <br />aionexa present. <br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of Rainier Con- <br />struct3.on Co., 6000 Telegraph Ave., Oakland, for a Conditional tone =ermit in <br />order to erect a warranty office trailer on the north side of Blarh Avenue ap- <br />proxi.mwtely 600 feet east of Hopyard Road, in an A District. Mx. Falea, in <br />gluing tine ccfff report, quoted from Sections 4.304 and 17.625 of Ordinance No. <br />309. He stated the subject warranty office trailer is propcsed as a temporary <br />trace office, and the staff recommends granting the Conditional Ure Permit with <br />three conditions which were set forth. There being no comment from the audience, <br />it was moved by Comcd.saioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and <br />carried, that the public hearing be closed. After discussion by the Commission, <br />upon motion of Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, the fol- <br />lowing resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of those Commissioners present: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 342 <br />4,°NERT,{:S, the application of Rainier Conetxuation Co., 6000 Telegraph <br />APP „ Oakland, for a Conditional Use Permit in order to <br />erect a warranty office trailer on the north aide of Black Avenue <br />apyroximately 600 feet east of Iiopyard Road, in an A District, has <br />come before this Commission; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESCLCn:D, that the above-named Conditional Uae Permit ie hereby approved <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. Said peamit le issued fox a period not to exceed six <br />montFia from the dale o£ ias±sance. <br />2. Access to lilacis :?venue shall be controlled to the <br />aatisfactien of tl,e Clty Engineer, in order to reduce <br />traffic hazards. <br />3. Access and parking r±reas shall be maintained in a manner <br />that call prevent the excessive generation of duet. <br />Chairman J,andon then opened the public hearing on the application of Scholastic <br />Magazines, Inc., 5675 Sunol Blvd „ far s Conditional Use Permit in order to <br />install sn advertizing sign at the above addreao in an I-P District. Mr. False, <br />in giving the staff report, li.eted the requiremcnta for signs ae contained in <br />Sections 14.400, 17.702, 1.7.703 and 7.7.706 of Crdinance No. 309, and stated <br />that the proposed sign meets all toe re::airam~nta of said Ordinance and that <br />the staff reco!s~=nda approval with the conitlti.on that the sign be located <br />behind the required 20-ft. fmrt yar3 saL-back.
