<br />Mr. Campbell quoted from Sections 19.1000, 19.1003 and 19.1004 of Ord. No. 309,
<br />and said that the staff cancl~sdes that this Variance meets the requirements
<br />established by the Ordinan^e and is a reasonable request, and it is therefore
<br />recommended that the Variance be granted to allow a 10-foot front-yard setback
<br />far a 6 ft. fence on Pebblewood Court as shown on the drawing submitted with the
<br />subject application. Mr. Leach was present in the audience and made a few remarks
<br />explaining the reasons for his request. Mr. Ted i~Ieaver, of D & V Builders, Inc.,
<br />was also present and spoke on behalf of the applicant, stating that the developer
<br />feels a reaponsibillty for the design of the lot and hopes the Variance will be
<br />granted. He also stated that they will not design corner lots in this manner in
<br />courts o£ such short length in the future. Discussion ensued by the Commission
<br />regarding the elimination of such a problem in future developments. There being
<br />no further comments from the audience, it was moved by Commissioner Rega, seconded
<br />by Commissioner Lozano, and carried, that the public hearing be closed. After
<br />discussion by the Commission, upon motion of Commissionez Rega, seconded by Com-
<br />missioner Johnston, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote:

<br />RESOLVED, that the above-named Variance is hereby granted in order to

<br />Chairman Landon opened the public hearing on the application of D & V Builders,
<br />lac., 6000 Telegraph Ave., Oakland, fora one-year extension of a Conditional
<br />Use Permit in order to allow the location of two office trailers on the north
<br />side of Black Ave. east of Hopyard Road. Mr. Campbell reviewed the conditions
<br />as set forth in Conditional Uae Permit No. UP64-L0, issued Msy 27, 1964, for e
<br />period of six months, and said the staff recommends a reasonable extension of time
<br />at the Commission's discretion, with the same conditions as had been applied to
<br />Conditional Use Permit No. UP64-10. Mr. Ted Weaver spoke in favor of the applica-
<br />tion, and said it is expected that the trailers will probably be necessary for
<br />more than one year. There being no further comments from the audience, it was
<br />moved by Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and carried, that
<br />tlxe public hearing be closed. After discussion by the Commission, upon motion of
