£.a*_ure recommended street ramea. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Com-
mi~aiener Antonini, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of those
Con®iasi.onexs preseut:
RESOLUTION N0. 421
RESOLVED:
The Tentative Subdivision Map for Tract No. 2727. (Pleasanton
Valley Unit No. 5) having come before this Cov~isaion as
provided by Ordinance No. 358, is hereby approved, with the
conditions and modifications as outlined in City Engineer's
Report dated April 28, 1965.
Chairman Landon proceeded to the next item on the agenda: Amendment to Tentative
Subdivision Map, Tract No. 2639 (Fairlands), xe: Street Names. The City Engir.~er's
report stated that although the Planning Commission approved the Tentative Map fox
the subject tract on February 10, 1965, street names were not available at that
time. Therefore, the map is brought to the Commission again at this time in order
that a proposed liar of street names might be considered. Both the Police and
Fire Chiefs, to whom the list has been referred, have serious reservations with
regard to pronunciation confusion in an emergency. Also they expressed objection
to those names which were other than of English origin. After discussion by the
Commission, it was moved by Chairmen Landon, seconded by Commissioner Rega, and
carried, that approval of street names for Tract No. 2639 be withheld pending the
substitution of British-oriented names for the proposed street names of other
than British origin.
There being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of Com-
missioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Lozano, and carried, the meeting was
adjourned at 9:55 P.M. to a special meeting on Wednesday, May 5, 1465, at 8:00 P.M.
