The next item on the agenda was amendment to Tentative Subdivision Map, Tract No.
2591, Pleasanton Valley. Director of Public Works Alan Campbell read a letter from
Mr. T.C. Weaver of D & V Builders, dated May 18. 1965, requesting an amendment to
the approved Tentative Map for Tract No. 2591 to allow construction on Lot 35 as
shown thereon. The staff .recommends the subject amendment be approved. Construct-
ion on this lot, ae well ae others, was originally prohibited because of potential
flooding from the Arroyo del Valle. Subsequent grading operations alleviated this
problem. Mr. Campbell read a letter from the Alameda County Flood Control and
Water Con6ervation District, dated May 25, 1965, which corroborated this evidence,
and suggested that a building be permitted on the subject lot. After discussion
by the Co®i.eeion, upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commiealoner Rega,
the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote:
BHSOLU'TION N0. 431
ABSOLVED:
Amendment to Tentative Map, Tract No. 2591, ie hereby
approved to allow conatructioa on Lot 35 ae shown on the
approved Tentative Map.
The next item on the agenda was a referral from the City Council: Suggested Nam for
New Street Weet of and Parallel to Main St. The reason for the referral is that
there may be some confwion with the pronunciation of "Schween" and "Main" is the
same vicinity. The staff ofesed as a suggestion "Schween venue" rather than
"Schween Stree " After discussion, Chairmen Landon recommended the matter be
placed on the agenda far the meeting of June 9, 1965.
Regarding the next itsm on the agenda, Mr. Fates stated that he received a telephone
call from the Manager of the Serviaoft Soft Water Service requesting that the
matter be removed from the agenda.
Theta being no further business to come before the Commission, upon motion of Cosy
mieaioner Antonini, seconded by Co®i.eaioner Rega, and carried, the meeting was
adjourned at 11:30 P.M., to meet again on Wednesday, June 9, 1965, at 8:00 P.M.
