RESOLUTION N0. 490 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Devmar, Inc., 268 Grand Avenue, <br />Oakland, for an Amendment to Ordinance No. 309 re- <br />zoning a parcel of approximately 94 acres located <br />east of Santa Rita Road between Mohr Avenue and <br />the Kaiser private road, from the A District to the <br />R-1 District, has come before this Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT <br />RESOLVED, that the above-named application be denied. <br />The next item on the agenda was the application of Sam W. Garlitz, 225 West Angela <br />Street, for a Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural and Landscape Approval, <br />in order to construct a duplex at the above address in an RG-15 District. Mr. Fales <br />gave the staff report, after which both Mr. Reagen and Mr. Baugh spoke briefly in <br />behalf of Mr. Garlitz. Upon motion of Chairman Landon, seconded by Commissioner <br />Rega, and with the consent of the applicant, it was determined to continue this <br />Zoning Permit, together with the Variance, which appeared earlier on the agenda, <br />until the meeting of December 8, 1965, at which time applicant is to submit amended <br />drawings. <br />There were no referrals from Alameda County. <br />The next item on the agenda was discussion of a proposed multiple dwelling complex, <br />north side of Vineyard Avenue; Frank Auf Der Maur. Mr. Gonzales of Canavan and <br />Gonzales displayed drawings for Mr. Auf Der Maur and a discussion followed. The <br />following resulted from the discussion: the Commission was asked if they would <br />consider a Planned Unit Development on thin application; Commission would prefer <br />to decrease density, parking, in favor of open space; a policy decision should be <br />made regarding the proposed street; and a staff report is to be submitted on <br />December 22, 1965, regarding proposed street. <br />Under Matters for the Information of the Commission, Mr. Fales presented the report <br />by William M. Bennett, Commissioner, Public Utility Commission of the State of <br />':alifornia relating to Undergrounding of Utilities. Mr. Falea stated the hearings <br />are December 19, 1965, if anyone was interested. <br />Everyone was wished a nice Thanksgiving and Chairman Landon advised that he would <br />be absent from the meeting of December 8, 1965. <br />There being no further business to come before the Commission, upon notion of <br />Commissioner Antonini, seconded by Commissioner Plato, and carried, the meeting was <br />adjourned at 10:30 P.M., to meet again on Wednesday, December 8, 1965. <br />
