M I N U T E S <br />of <br />THE MEETING <br />of <br />THE PLANNING COMPASSION <br />Pleasanton, California <br />December 8, 1965 <br />The regularly scheduled meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order at <br />8:00 P,M., on Wednesday, December 8, 1965, by Vice-Chairman Antonini. <br />ROLL CALL showed the following: <br />Present: Commissioners Antonini <br /> Johnston <br /> Plato <br /> Rega <br />Absent: Chairman Landon <br />Secretary Fales <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Plato, seconded by Commissioner Rega, the minutes of <br />the meeting of November 24, 1965, were approved as presented by unanimous vote. <br />Secretary Fales joined the meeting at 8:05 P,M, <br />Vice-Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of W. T. Marsh, <br />29 Castledown Road, for an Amendment to Ordinance No. 309 rezoning a parcel of <br />approximately 2~ acres located north of Neal Street, east of Second Street, and <br />west of Del Sol Avenue, from the R-1 to the R-2 District. (Application was amended <br />on December 2, 1965, requesting rezoning from the R-1 to the RC-15 District.) Mr. <br />Falea informed the Commission that this amendment to the original application had <br />been received after the notice of the original application had been published, and <br />that he would recommend that the Commission postpone this matter to permit publi- <br />cation of another public notice of the application. Upon motion of Commissioner <br />Johnston, seconded by Co~isaioner Rega, and carried, it was determined to postpone <br />the public hearing on this application to January 12 to permit publication of the <br />notice of the amended application. <br />Vice-Chairman Antonini opened the public hearing on the application of Sam 47. <br />Garlitz, 225 West Angela Street, for a Variance from Section 8.500, Ordinance No. <br />309, in order to construct a duplex at the above address with a reduced site width, <br />in an RG-15 District. (Continued from November 24, 1965). The Commission simul- <br />taneously considered the application of Sam Garlitz, 225 Weat Angela Street, for a <br />Zoning Permit with Site Plan, Architectural and Landscape Approval, in order to <br />construct a duplex at the above address in an RG-15 District (Continued from <br />November 24, 1965). Mr. Fales presented the staff report on the variance appli- <br />cation; after which Mr. Gene Reagen, agent fox Sam Garlitz, stated that he concurred <br />with the staff report. It was moved by Commissioner Rega, seconded by Vice-Chairman <br />Antonini, and carried, that the public hearing be closed. Mr. Fales then presented <br />the staff report pertaining to the zoning permit application. After discussion by <br />the Commission, upon motion of Vice-Chairman Antonini, seconded by Commissioner <br />Johnston, the following resolution was adopted by unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 491 <br />WHEREAS, the application of Sam W. Garlitz, 225 West Angela <br />Street, for a Variance from Section 8.500, Ordinance <br />No. 309, in order to construct a duplex at the above <br />address with a reduced site width, in an RG-15 District, <br />has come before this Commission: <br />NOW, THEREFOR, BE IT <br />RESOLVED, that the above-named application be approved. <br />
