Exhibit A <br /> <br />CONSULTANT SERVICES <br /> <br />This Exhibit is an attachment to a Standard Agreement For Consultation Or Other <br />Services executed by Thornton Anderson Architects, (the Consultant) and the City of <br />Pleasanton, California, (the City) in connection with the Softball Fieldhouse. <br /> <br />A. SCOPE OF PROJECT <br /> <br />This project will involve the preparation of detailed construction plans and specifications <br />necessary for a new softball fieldhouse for the City of Pleasanton, California. <br /> <br />The facility will potentially include construction of new public restrooms, snack bar, <br />storage rooms, staff offices, scorekeepers area, and changing rooms. <br />It's anticipated that the project will be two stories and will include an elevator. The <br />project will also involve landscaping and paving adjacent to the new fieldhouse. <br />Scoreboards in the outfields and their connection to the Fieldhouse are included. <br /> <br />B. CONSULTANT TEAM <br /> <br />The consultant team and services for this facility are: Architectural, Sports Programming, <br />Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering, Landscape Architectural, Cost <br />Estimator. Minor civil engineering is assumed to be included. <br /> <br /> Services and consultants not included are: geotechnical engineer, cost estimate consultant. <br /> <br />C. PHASE I: PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br /> 1. The Design team will assist the City in development of a program and initial project <br /> budget. The City will supply a preliminary outline of the programmatic features discussed <br /> to date. The team will have one initial meeting with the City, as well as telephone <br /> conversations, to discuss anticipated needs and uses. A program and budget will be <br /> developed based on the information generated from the meeting. This program will have <br /> alternatives listed to establish priorities for the facility. A second meeting will be held to <br /> review and refine the initial program. The final program will then be developed and <br /> submitted to the City for approval. <br /> <br /> This is a limited programming effort. Some program information exists and shall be <br /> reviewed by the consultant team. <br /> <br /> 2. A preliminary budget will be developed in conjunction with the selected program. <br /> This will be preliminary in nature and also will list administrative budget requirements <br /> provided by the City such as testing, plan check, and contingency costs. <br /> <br /> 3. Meetings - A total of (2) meetings are included in this phase, to be attended by <br /> Thornton/Anderson and Sports Management Group. <br /> <br /> <br />
